Today is Christmas, and that means a few interesting games are one today if you need something to distract you from family. With no games last night, though, there’s nothing to talk about in the recap today, so, as a gift to myself, I’m going to chat briefly about the Knickerbockers of New York. The Knicks current depth chart has Carmelo Anthony at Power Forward and Ronnie Brewer starting at Small Forward. When Amar’e Stoudemire comes back, coach Mike Woodson would be a certifiable loon to not move Melo to Small Forward, bump Brewer to the bench and let STAT play PF where he belongs. There have been rumblings over the past year about whether Melo and Stoudemire can be on the same line, with some talk that Amar’e should sit to start the game. That is crap, and I doubt the Knicks will do that. That’s not to say as the game goes on that Stoudemire won’t end up on the bench when Anthony is on the floor, but Stoudemire will get starter’s minutes. This means you are looking at the Knicks ...

Carmelo Anthony and Company Rally Knicks Over Timberwolves

Last season, the Knicks struggled with their consistency (or lack there of) virtually all season long. Though they teased fans with fun and exciting victories over some of the league's various powerhouses, New York simply couldn't prove steady enough to put away the weaker ones on a nightly basis. But that was the Knicks of old. The Knicks of old not only lacked a killer instinct...

He said he believes he hyperextended his knee. Knicks 94, Timberwolves 91

NEW YORK -- After a lackluster start, Carmelo Anthony turned it on in the final minutes and so did the New York Knicks, who squeezed out a 94-91 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Anthony, cold from the floor for most of the game and down to his last foul with 3:04 left in the game, finished with 33 points, scoring the Knicks' last 12...

Amar’e Stoudemire aims to return on the first of 2013

Knicks 99, Suns 97

PHOENIX -- No Carmelo Anthony and no Raymond Felton? No problem for the New York Knicks. They still have J.R. Smith. Smith scored 27 points off a taxed Knicks bench including the final four of the game and an off-balance, 20-footer from the baseline as time expired as New York held on for a 99-97 win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night at U.S. Airways Center. Jared Dudley...

Are The Knicks A Soft Team?

The Knicks were thoroughly beaten despite the final score by the Chicago Bulls a few nights ago for the second time this season. Of the Knicks seven losses this season, you can argue that four have come at the hands of teams that play a very physical style of play. The first sign that a physical team could be the Knicks’ kryptonite was the 105-95 loss at Memphis, when Carmelo...

Tweet   The New York Knicks were without Carmelo Anthony (knee) and Raymond Felton (finger) for Wednesday’s matchup with the Phoenix Suns, leaving little doubt J.R. Knicks-Suns Preview

The New York Knicks got off to their best start in decades due in large part to consistent 3-point shooting.
