New York Knicks starting forward Amare Stoudemire is a man of many talents and you can now add published author to his life's work.

Amare teamed up with the folks over at the Scholastic to produce a series of children's books called, "STAT: Standing Tall and Talented".

The first in the series is set to be released on August the 1st and he seems to be excited in the below promotional clip to be part of the Scholastic family:



The other two books in the series will be released in early October and January of 2013.
