The New York Knicks have looked like one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference for much of the season, but they have struggled as of late. New York’s loss to the Toronto Raptors on Friday night was its fourth straight, which is the team’s longest streak of the season. The All-Star break doesn’t appear to have helped Mike Woodson’s club sort out their issues, but Amar’e Stoudemire believes he knows what the problem may be. “We got plenty of swagger, we may have too much swag,’’ Stoudemire said after the loss, via the NY Post. “We got to get more greedy, from the standpoint of wanting to defend, wanting to win and having a sense of urgency. We have to want to win. We got to have the mentality to want to win. It don’t matter if it looks good or not. We just got to get it done. It’s not a great feeling right now.’’ The phrase “we need to get our swagger back” is probably one of the most overused in sports. Source: Knicks Still Have Plans of Signing Chris Smith

When the Knicks' signed Chris Smith to a training camp contract this past fall, it was assumed that such a signing was a result of the team's loyalty to his brother, J.R. Smith. Many wondered how far the courtesy would go. After donning a Knicks' Summer League jersey and spending training camp with the team, would the Louisville guard go on to make the squad?Such discussions...

Do the Knicks Show Up Tonight Versus the Sixers?

76ers @ Knicks: MSG 7pm The Knicks are back home, losers of four in a row and five of six.  They are stumbling to regain their identity.  Their effort in the road loss to the Raptors was only on display in the second and fourth quarters. It is obvious they are relying heavily on isolation basketball.  They jumped out to scoring 32 points in the first quarter, but gave up just...

Will signing Kenyon Martin backfire on New York Knicks?

Ronnie Brewer being dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder was not the only change going on in New York at Thursday’s NBA Trade Deadline. The Knicks used their time wisely in signing veteran forward Kenyon Martin to a 10-day contract and the deal is expected to be completed by early next week. New York has been in need of big man help and talk of Martin joining the Knicks has been...

Knicks fan drops "Steve Novak" rap song (Video)

Considering there was already a Gregg Popovich rap song, I was a little surprised that it took this long for someone to do a rap joint about Knicks forward Steve Novak. While I'm still trying to find the reason that anyone would want to do one is a completely separate thing, the song is pretty solid for a 15-year-old bespectacled rapper.I just wouldn't put this on my resume...

Pre Game News and Notes 76ers vs. Knicks For the first time in the Mike Woodson era the Knicks will enter a game on a four-game losing streak.  It is not to panic yet for the Knicks, as they still sit atop the Atlantic Division, but that can change depending on the result of the game tonight.  The Knicks need to start picking up victories over divisional opponents, as that is a...

Tyson Chandler got a little too excited after a big play from his team in the fourth quarter of Friday night’s game at Air Canada Centre, slapping the referee on the butt as he walked by the Knicks’ bench.

TOK Game Recap – Another Disappointing Loss to Toronto

The New York Knicks needed one in the worst way tonight, but struggled to find a rhythm, as an ugly third quarter proved to be too much to overcome in the fourth. The offensive and defense were both in sync at times, but never simultaneously until it was too late. The first half was pretty sloppy on both sides, with lots of turnovers and tacky fouls, but ended with a three point...

Video: Carmelo Anthony has No. 15 jersey retired by Syracuse

Tweet   Carmelo Anthony spent just one season at Syracuse University, but it was probably the best season in the history of the school’s men’s basketball program. As a freshman Anthony led the Orange to an 81-78 victory over Kansas in the NCAA Tournament’s championship game to give the school its first, and only, national [...]
