The Cavaliers have confirmed that Anderson Varejao will not require surgery on his injured wrist. That’s the good news. The bad news is that Andy will miss 4 to 6 weeks because of the injury.
Four weeks would mean missing the Cavaliers next 14 games. A six week timetable would mean no Varejao for the next 22 games. That would be a third of the season.
Varejao has already missed 2 games with the injury, and the Cavaliers are 1-1 without him. He averages 10.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game this season.

Why wouldn’t LeBron want to come back to play for Cleveland?
Just in time for the Miami Heat’s visit to Cleveland, the latest absurd consequence of Dan Gilbert’s regressive self-serving LeBron demonization campaign: The hometown superstar says something that any decent human should want to hear him say (that “it would be great” if he were to come back home to play basketball for the Cleveland Cavaliers), and the response...

Welcome Back, Kyrie Irving
It’s like riding a bike. You know, if feverishly peddling a Sonic 6 was akin to rolling left off of a ball screen only to dribble-drive full speed in to the elevated body of a 7-foot-2-inch, 280-pound center. As Kyrie Irving lunged toward the rim, his 190-pound frame bounced off of Roy Hibbert’s body as if the All-Star big man were made of cinder block; Irving...

Unfortunately this is not one of those occasions; as I have been too close to this situation to maintain my objectivity on this subject. So in...
