There are few things in basketball that are more embarrassing than airballing a free throw. Airballing two free throws in a row certainly qualifies. Many NBA players are horrible free-throw shooters, but guys who are making millions of dollars per year are expected to at least hit the rim. As you can see, Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is one of the worst in the league. Those who watched the big fella badly airball a free throw in the fourth quarter against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday probably thought it slipped — until he did the exact same thing on his next attempt. This is not a drill. Drummond is shooting 35.2% from the charity stripe on the season. To give you some perspective, there are over 100 players across the NBA who have a higher percentage from three-point range. It’s not that Drummond can’t catch a break when shooting free throws. It’s almost as if he can’t see the basket. H/T Reddit Related posts: Andre Drummond’s free throw shooting is abysmal Jeremy Lamb app...

Pistons center Andre Drummond airballs two consecutive free throws (Video)

You could excuse elementary schoolers for shooting two consecutive airballs from the free throw line. An NBA player, however, has no excuse. On that note, to say that Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond needs to work on his free throws would be the understatement of the year. Unless Drummond is trying to set the NBA record for worst FT shooting percentage for a season, in...

Andre Drummond airballed two straight free throws last night

Andre Drummond had a tough time shooting free throws during the Pistons’ 95-94 loss to the Bulls. Drummond went 0-3 from the line, which on its face isn’t all that bad. But when you add that two of those three missed free throws were airballs, then it’s bad.And then you add in that those airballed free throws came back to back, well then it’s really bad.The post Andre Drummond...

Andre Drummond Airballs Two Free Throws in a Row (Video)

The Detroit Pistons have had an abysmal season this year. Sitting at 24-50, the Pistons find themselves in lottery discussion for the #1 overall pick once again. Things have been going so badly, that even free throws have become an adventure. Just ask center Andre Drummond. Thanks to Beyond The Buzzer for the video.

Maxiell out for season after eye surgery

Detroit Pistons forward Jason Maxiell will miss the rest of the season after surgery to repair a detached retina. Maxiell began complaining of blurry vision last week and didn't travel with the team for Sunday's loss at Chicago. He stayed home in Detroit to visit a specialist, who diagnosed the injury. Detroit's first-round pick in the 2005 draft, Maxiell has spent...

Jason Maxiell underwent surgery for a detached retina

Jason Maxiell's season is over.  The Detroit Pistons' forward underwent season-ending surgery to repair a detached retina.  He had been suffering from blurred vision says the release on, but the team and Maxiell did not think much of it.  He had tried eye drops, but when that didn't work, Maxiell went to a specialist. The specialist diagnosed the condition...

Ex-Raptor Jose Calderon goes into wrong locker room tunnel in Toronto (Video)

Detroit Pistons guard Jose Calderon spent the first seven-plus years of his career walking into the Raptors’ locker room in Toronto at halftime and upon the conclusion of games. Assuming he was present for every game during his Raptors career, that means he repeated that action nearly 500 times. Old habits die hard. On Monday night, Calderon visited Toronto as a member of the Pistons...

The Pistons Have an Usher That Does Some Crazy Dance Moves (Video)

I guess the Detroit Pistons figured if they can’t be entertaining on the court, then they may as well be entertaining off it. Apparently, this guy’s name is Shannon “The Dancing Usher” Sailes, and he performs regularly at the Palace of Auburn Hills for the Pistons. I can almost guarantee that this will be the weirdest thing you will see today. Check the videos out here:

Jose Calderon Almost Walks Back To Wrong Locker Room With Former Teammates In Toronto

Former Raptor, Jose Calderon, returned to the Air Canada Centre Monday night for the first time since being traded to the Pistons in January, and the point guard naturally started to follow his former teammates to the wrong room following halftime before catching himself and turning around . I mean he did spend 7 1/2 seasons in Toronto, so we’ll give him a break.

Jose Calderon Pulls Unintentional April Fools’ Joke, Walks Toward Raptors Locker Room at Halftime (Video)

Pistons guard Jose Calderon had only ever been a member of the Toronto Raptors before being dealt to Detroit in a three-team deal on Jan. 30. Calderon spent the better part of seven seasons in Toronto and when he returned as a visitor on Monday night, he fell back into old habits. Both teams use the same tunnel in the Air Canada Centre, and as they walked to the locker room at...

Jose Calderon accidentally heads towards wrong locker room at halftime

Former Toronto Raptors guard Jose Calderon let his old habits take over when the Detroit Pistons were at the Air Canada Center to play his former team.  Calderon was absent-mindedly walking to the locker room when it had to be pointed out to him that he was heading to the wrong locker room.  His old teammates got a good laugh out of it and Calderon knew he was destined for YouTube...

Jose Calderon Walks Towards Wrong Locker Room at Halftime of Raptors-Pistons Game (Video)

Jose Calderon was traded to the Detroit Pistons earlier this season after spending seven and a half seasons with the Toronto Raptors. He made the walk to the home team locker room at the Air Canada Centre hundreds of times in the past so I think he can be excused for this gaffe in his first game back since the trade. His reaction when he realized the camera was on him is hilarious...
