Patrick did us the favor or writing up an article over at SportsBetting.com regarding a possible Andrew Bynum trade. It involves Dwight Howard, who would probably have to guarantee the Lakers that he would resign with them for the trade to go through, and I’m not sure if he’s genuinely capable of making such a commitment to anyone at this point or possibly ever. Bynum would be going to the Cavs, and they would likely also be looking for some sort of contract security, but the young centers these days seem to be rebels who are just out for the money (see also: Asik, Omer). I can’t blame them, but it definitely makes it harder to fulfill their trade demands. It’s the kind of thing that makes me wonder what effect it would have if the Magic just benched Howard for the entire season. They’d have to continue paying him, so he’d probably just laugh all the way to the bank, and their team would suck, but I still have to think that sitting there for that long without playing would have to take some sort of mental toll on him. Right? Anyway… that’s nothing to do with fantasy basketball… so I guess we move on…

Lakers Rumors: Lakers Speak to Andrew Bynum About Contract Extension

Financially, it makes more sense for Bynum to play out the year and become a free agent. Then if he chooses to resign with the Lakers he can make millions more. One small caveat to that is Bynum’s injury history. He made it through last year pretty much unharmed, but it might be beneficial to [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Dwight Howard 'Soap Opera' Is What Fans Want, At Least According to David Stern

Are you sick of the Dwight Howard saga yet? If you are, you're probably not a real NBA fan, at least not to league commissioner David Stern. Howard continues to dominant the league's offseason story lines, as his future with the Orlando Magic remains in limbo. He'll be a free agent after the 2012-13 season which has left a rebuilding Orlando team scrambling to unload...

Group of Magic fans create website to answer the biggest Dwight Howard question

At this point, I don’t think anyone in Orlando really cares where Dwight goes, or what we get for him in return. We just want him out of our papers. Off our news. Out of our lives (except for those 2-4 games a year where he’ll come in and deflower the new squad). With the [...]

David Stern calls out Dwight Howard’s agent

Multiple time a week here seem’s a bevy of new information leaked about Dwight Howard and his indecision. While the assumed “sources” seem to be on Dwight Howard’s side, it hasn’t been talked about much. Afterall, people are more irritated at Dwight Howard for the lack of decision-making rather than who the source is leaking the [...]

David Stern on all the Dwight Howard Trade Rumors

Are you getting tired of all the Dwight Howard talks yet? Well if it was up to the NBA Commissioner he wants the soap opera to continue. Here is what David Stern told USA today in an interview. To me, it is the soap opera our fans turn in for – the drama on the court and the drama off the court,” Stern said. “When we cease to have a story popping up, we probably...

Mavericks appear ready to be Dwight's fallback

Coming out of Wednesday's meeting between Dwight Howard and Magic general manager Rob Hennigan, it was very clear Howard has his heart set on being a Net or a Laker before the season begins. This is what he wants and he seems extremely determined to get it. Howard has gone so far as to issue a threat to every other team in the league: Howard has publicly leaked that if he is...

Straight Sex on Fire

This is Hope Alexa.  Hope defines the perfect amount of anything you can imagine.  Hope Alexa is the wife of NBA star Dwight Howard.  If CCWriter could custom design perfection it might result in Hope Alexa or AleXXXa (which is how I’d spell it).  The perfect amount of blonde, the perfect amount of TnA, apparently a perfect height (guessing around 5’5″), perfect skin tone...

The Nightmare that is Dwight Howard by Brian Geltzeiler

Editor's Note: I changed the title, but please follow Brian Geltzeiler on Twitter and read his writings at Hoopscritic. NBA fans on all levels have been treated to a few soap operas over the last two years, which up until 2010, was reserved for daytime weekday television. Once the soaps started leaving television was just about the time the NBA entered the soap opera...

If you need any other sign that the Magic have fallen from grace, look no further than the 2012-13 national television schedule. Orlando will appear on ESPN twice. No ABC games. No TNT games. Just two appearances on national television total (excluding NBATV). This Magic team was on national television 16 times during a 66-game schedule last season as a team falling from grace at...
