Could Michael Jordan still effective the league at 50? Antawn Jamison seems to think so. When asked in an interview byESPN  Antawn Jamison doesn’t doubt that Jordan, who turns 50 on February 17th, could very much still effective the league. “I wouldn’t doubt that in the right situation with a LeBron (James) on his team or with a Kobe (Bryant) on this team, he could get you about 10 or 11 points, come in and play 15-20 minutes.” Not too far fetched considering the fact Jordan averaged 20 ppg in his final NBA season at the age of 40. But when you take into consideration the fact that Jamison, who’s 36 and comes off the bench only puts up 8.1 ppg it kind of puts things back in perspective. Jordan jokingly said in his HOF speech that one day we may see him playing at age 50, and to ‘never say never’. Jamison added “He wasn’t joking,” “You hear stories still to this day, especially last year, him going to the practice facility and playing 1-on-1 with the guys and still they can’t stop him.” Could Jordan still be the force that he once was if he laced up today? Logic would say there’s no way a 50 year old could withstand a grueling 82 game season. But then there’s also that other part which puts Jordan on a completely different level from all others. If ever there was a 50 year old who could take the league by storm surely it’s Jordan, right?
