The Minnesota Timberwolves had a golden opportunity to book their spot in the Western Conference Finals. This is after they stole away home-court advantage from the defending champs Denver Nuggets by winning Games 1 and 2 at the Ball Arena.
It’s as if all their hard work to start the series has been put to waste now that they’ve conceded Games 3 and 4 to Denver. It’s back to square one for Minnesota as two of the remaining three games in this captivating series see the Nuggets hosting the Wolves.
Speaking to the media following Sunday’s 115-107 loss , Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards pointed to the lack of continuity in the series as a crucial factor that has led to his team losing two straight games at home. According to the 22-year-old, the fact that they had a three-day break between Games 2 and 3 ultimately led to Minnesota losing all the momentum they had after winning the first two games of the series:
"I don't think they got any momentum… At this point, it's just whoever wins two games… We're competing at the highest level… If we played tomorrow, I'd be ready."

Edwards isn’t sweating it, though. In fact, he’s been defiant about the Nuggets having momentum on their side after winning two in a row in Minnesota.
Game 5 in Denver is on Tuesday, which means these two teams get just one day off before they go to war again. One cannot understate the importance of that matchup in the overall outcome of this series.
