The Miami Heat are working towards quite a feat in trying to break the record for most consecutive wins. (The record of 33 games was set by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.) If the Heat get the record and win this year’s championship, they will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the greatest teams in NBA history. If they don’t get the record, but still get close to it and end up winning the championship,  here will still be some recognition for them as one of the greatest. The Heat are in the midst of a remarkable run. Could this season just be a precursor to the best regular season of all-time? The Heat clearly want greatness. They want to go down in the annals of NBA history as an unstoppable force which won often and with a certain level of superiority over the rest of the teams.
