The Atlanta Hawks are back in the win column. The Milwaukee Bucks would like to follow suit, but injuries to Brandon Jennings and Larry Sanders could make that a challenge Friday night. Atlanta goes for its first sweep of this series in 16 seasons as the depleted Bucks try to end a seven-game road losing streak. Avoiding a season high-tying fourth consecutive defeat, the Hawks (43-36) shot 53.8 percent from the field in a 124-101 victory at Philadelphia on Wednesday. Atlanta did so despite missing 11 of its first 14 field-goal attempts. "Getting into a rhythm is very important," said guard Kyle Korver, who has the fourth-longest streak in NBA history with at least one 3-pointer at 71 consecutive games. "We got off to a bit of a slow start, but we were able to turn it up. We had good ball movement and got things going on all cylinders." The Hawks haven't enjoyed quick starts in the three meetings with Milwaukee this season, totaling 61 points in the first ...

Soreness causes Jennings, Sanders to sit

Now that a playoff spot has been locked up, the Milwaukee Bucks have a list of things they want to accomplish before the regular season ends. Staying healthy is near the top of the list. The Bucks lost a pair of starters to injury in Wednesday night's game against Orlando, as point guard Brandon Jennings left the game with a sore left Achilles' tendon and center Larry Sanders...

Brandon Jennings suffers from overconfidence with potential Heat matchup

Brandon Jennings is a confident player. You have to be to be the gunner that many perceive him to be and average 15 field goal attempts per game while shooting a hair better than 40 percent. That will not stop Jennings from saying what is on his mind and approaching his second chance at a Playoff appearance with a sense of confidence. Even if that turns out to be against the...

Ilyasova adds to Bucks' ailments at forward

Milwaukee Bucks power forward Ersan Ilyasova will miss Wednesday's game against Orlando with an illness. Ilyasova's absence is a big blow to a Bucks team chasing the Boston Celtics for the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference, as Ilyasova is averaging 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in his last 16 games. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will start at power forward in place...

ATLANTA -- Jeff Teague and Josh Smith each scored 24 points and the Atlanta Hawks used a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead after trailing by 19 early in the second half and beat the Milwaukee Bucks 109-104 on Friday night. Atlanta moved one-half game ahead of Chicago for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. Monta Ellis led Milwaukee with 27 points and 17 assists...

Redick Values Winning, Financial Future In Free Agency

J.J. Redick will be a free agent this summer and he figures to cash in with the market being down.

Hawks rout 76ers 124-101 to end 3-game skid

PHILADELPHIA -- The Atlanta Hawks missed 11 of their first 14 shots. They barely missed anything the rest of the game. Josh Smith had 28 points and 12 rebounds, John Jenkins added 21 points and the Hawks blitzed the Philadelphia 76ers 124-101 on Wednesday. Mike Scott contributed 17, Al Horford had 16 and Jeff Teague 13 for the Hawks, who snapped a three-game losing streak and...

Bucks look to break Magic's curse in Orlando

J.J. Redick has not been much of a factor for the Milwaukee Bucks of late. Perhaps a return to Orlando will get him back on track and help his current team end its road struggles overall and against his former squad. Back in Orlando for the first time since being traded to Milwaukee in February, Redick looks to help the Bucks avoid a seventh consecutive road defeat and end a 13-game...

J.J. Redick’s Return To Orlando Was The Complete Opposite of Dwight Howard’s

I live approximately 3,000 miles away from Orlando, so I don’t know much about the connection former Magic (and current Milwaukee Bucks) shooting guard J.J. Redick had with the city where he spent the first six and a half years of his career. But clearly it was something special, as Redick returned to Orlando for the first time since being traded in February, and was showered with...

Bucks-Bobcats Preview

The Milwaukee Bucks have done little to build any momentum heading into the playoffs. With the status of two injured starters uncertain, the Bucks look to avoid a ninth consecutive road loss Saturday night against the lowly Charlotte Bobcats. Milwaukee (37-42) is headed to the postseason for the first time in three years, but has dropped three in a row and 10 of 13. The Bucks hope...

Tobias Harris forces overtime with clutch three

Do you think the Milwaukee Bucks regret trading Tobias Harris for J.J. Redick at the NBA’s trade deadline? If they didn’t before, then they certainly do now. Harris broke Milwaukee’s back last night in Orlando as the Magic squared off against the Bucks. Harris gets the inbound, makes a move around former teammate, Marquis Daniels, gets held and still converts with a game-tying...

Get your Henson John!

With Ersan Iylasova sitting due to illness and Larry Sanders going down for the count, the Bucks were left to turn to John Henson. You remember him? He was the guy I had high hopes for back in, oh, I don’t know, maybe December, early January. You grabbed him then you lost him because he blew chunks. See Ersan Ilyasova, he knows something about blowing chunks literally and figuratively...
