The Hawks came back on my radar largely because they got back from the West Coast today. I’m kidding. Sort of. (The best way to handle Jeremy Lin is not to pun at all, which for me is along the lines of being asked not to breathe.)
Back to the Bulls. Derrick Rose came back for the Presidents’ Day tilt, and the bad news grew from there. Rose scored 23 as the Bulls won 90-79. The lead was as much as 20 points, but a late Atlanta charge made the score closer than it should have been. More bad news. Joe Johnson left with an injured left...

ESPN Fires Employee Responsible For “Chink In The Armor” Headline
Say what you want about ESPN, but their reaction to the Jeremy Lin controversy was fast and efficient. For those of you not in the know, ESPN published a mobile headline after the Knicks lost that said “***** In The Armor.” Not exactly a sensitive comment to be making about an Asian-American.
ESPN has fired the employee responsible for the headline. I want to believe...

Deron Williams schools Jeremy Lin by dropping 38 on him
Deron Williams made a statement with his game. He said “welcome to the big boy table Jeremy Lin, this is how we do it here.” Or maybe “I’m getting sick of hearing about Linsanity, let’s silence it.”

Jeremy Lin overshadowing Miami Heat’s great run
Perfunctory Tuesday has kindly bowed out of the way for the Miami Heat and yields now to the onslaught of Linsanity Thursday, but here’s the thing: The wrong team will be getting most of the national attention when the New York Knicks and sudden-sensation Jeremy Lin visit here next. So will the wrong player.

Stop the Linsanity; Deron Williams is tops in this town
With the spotlight focusing on Madison Square Garden for most of this abbreviated basketball season, it became clear last night who is the best point guard in the area, and maybe the entire NBA. No, it’s not Jeremy Lin. It’s not Baron Davis either. Iman Shumpert? Come on.
In these parts, and perhaps it’s already known throughout the league, the best of the best is the Nets’...
