Andrea Bargnani will miss the final seven games of the season.
BEST OF MAXIM
Toronto Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani will miss the rest of the season because of a nagging calf injury.Bargnani left in the second quarter of Sunday's 95-71 loss in Oklahoma City with left calf tightness. The 26-year-old averaged a team-high 19.5 points, with 5.5 rebounds in 31 games this season. The Raptors have seven regular-season games remaining.
The Toronto Blue may want to look at obtaining DeMar DeRozan to help with their problems closing games.
All kidding aside, Dwane Casey has talked all season about developing DeRozan into a late-game closer for the Toronto Raptors and tonight he came through with four huge free throws in the last minute of the game to ice a win against the Boston Celtics.
“I just told him those...
Toronto Raptors point guard Jose Calderon will miss his second straight game Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks.
Calderon also did not play in Friday's game as a precautionary reason to allow his stitched-up eye to heal.
He was hurt in Wednesday's loss to New Jersey when he was elbowed in the face.
Calderon is averaging 10.5 points and 8.8 assists this season.
DeMar DeRozan scored 13 of his 22 points in the third quarter and made four pivotal free throws down the stretch as the short-handed Toronto Raptors held off the Boston Celtics 84-79 Friday night.
DeRozan was a perfect 13-for-13 from the line as the Raptors ended a four-game losing skid despite being without two of their top players. Big man Andrea Bargnani was shut down for the...
I remember when Raptors game threads were had over a hundred pages each. Now, it's more like in the teens. It was hilarious that they were actually cheering for the Celtics because a win would be a set back to their ping pong ball total. Comments after losses usually aren't much fun but these are hilarious as the Raptor fans cheer for the Celtics and get mad when they lose...
The Philadelphia 76ers were looking to ensure the Toronto Raptors were on the losing end this time around. The Sixers beat the Raptors 93-75.The game was tight through 3 quarters, with the score being 63-57 for the 76ers at that time, but the 76ers pulled away in the 4th outscoring the Raptors 30-18 in the final frame. The win was much needed for the 76ers who are currently in 7th...
The Celtics fall to the lowly Raptors tonight, 84-79 in Toronto. An extremely frustrating loss. The C's were up by 13 points about halfway through the 2nd after a Ryan Hollins free-throw made it 30-17. Then they virtually disappeared. They did what we've seen them do in past games like this-made a "too little, too late" run in the...

To rest or not to rest, seemed to be the big question of the night for the Boston Celtics. Raptors G DeMar DeRozan scored 22 points to lead his Toronto Raptors past one of the hottest teams in the NBA the Boston Celtics, 84-79. The Celtics had won four straight coming in to the game [...]
The short-handed Toronto Raptors had their point guard bloodied and their interior defense soundly beaten their last time out.
One can only imagine a motivated Rajon Rondo's eagerness, then, as he leads the resurgent Boston Celtics into Air Canada Centre for Friday night's game.
Rondo is playing the best basketball of his career as the Celtics (34-24) try to win their fifth...
