Baron Davis has officially returned, folks. When he returned from injury, Davis was hoping he could rescue the Knicks back court and turn them into a contender. Jeremy Lin seems to have that situation covered. Maybe after he realized Lin had locked down New York’s point guard position, Baron started thinking about how he could celebrate hitting his first jump shot of the season. Davis played 10 minutes of Monday night’s loss to the Nets and hit one shot — a three pointer. After he knocked down said three pointer, Davis pretended to smoke a joint. You know, the whole pretending to hit a J after hitting a J thing? Clever, right? I can think of one guy who probably appreciated the gesture. H/T to @Netw3rk and Deadspin for the picture.

Here’s Baron Davis demonstrating his ‘One Toke Over The Line’ celebration (pic)

Of course, in basketball — as it is in life — one toke over the line is far preferable to one foot over the line. Well, maybe that’s just in basketball. And only on made three-pointers and free throw attempts. Huh. I suppose instead of trying to turn the above image into some kind of [...]

The Starting Lineup: Baron Davis Makes Season Debut. You Would’ve Cared Three Weeks Ago.

One game into his stint, Baron Davis has already set a Knicks record: His #85 is the highest ever to be worn by a New York Knickerbocker.  First-ballot HOFer.  Seriously, though, I thought Baron looked alright last night.  I don’t even know what his stats were–I recall a three-pointer and some poor defense on Deron Williams–but none of that even matters yet.  I’ll tell...
