DeMar DeRozan was the Raptors’ 9th pick in the 2009 draft, but he didn’t even make Adam’s top 200 last year, and rightly so – he shot an abysmal 0.096 from beyond the arc in ’10-’11. A mascot with a fuzzy oversize head could throw beach balls underhanded and display higher accuracy than that. DeRozan is also a shallow option for rebounds (career 3.4), assists (career 1.5) and steals (career 0.8). Why even bother discussing him? Like an average looking woman in over the calf boots, DeRozan is going to appear sexy to people in drafts because of one feature. His pair of boots is his scoring. DeRozan was in the top 40 last season in points per game and top 30 in total overall points. There is certainly value to someone that can actually get the ball in the hoop.
