San Antonio Spurs' DeJuan Blair did not play in last night's season opener versus the Hornets (DNP-Coach's Decision) and he took to Twitter to voice his feelings. This is wat I expected! Lol I'm just not wat dude wants out there it just hit me!! And that's respect! Just KNO I'm doing my part! #SALUTE — DeJuan Blair (@DeJuan45) November 1, 2012 And it did not stop there. Blair continued to share his feelings. Aside from jokingly asking if anyone has "inches" to spare so he can be taller, Blair tweeted this: I'm just joking ill b good somebody out there likes wat I do!!!! BELIVE that! Ok I'm out bout ta b (cont) tl.gd/jrkcu0 — DeJuan Blair (@DeJuan45) November 1, 2012 Well there you go Spurs fans. He isn't going on some huge diatribe and openly complaining about not playing last night but it is something to watch for during the season. He is in a contract season and perhaps he just wants to show he is raring to go and earn an extension with the team. On one hand, Blair put in the work in the offseason and perhaps he was expecting to be rewarded for his efforts. On the other hand, going from a starter to getting a DNP might bother a player. But at the same time coach Popovich knows what he is doing when it comes to the rotation.  Consider this as well. With the team will play the second game off a back-to-back situation tonight against the Thunder, having a fresh Blair is on the mind of the coaching staff should they need to rest any of the other bigs.  Moreover, I do like that he is itching to get on the court. It shows he is eager to contribute towards the team's success. Besides, he is a competitive, professional athlete. How can anyone expect him to just be happy to not get playing time and ride the bench? Of couse he wants to get on the court. But seeing how the team doesn't have much big man depth, Blair will get time on the court as the season rolls along and it could start tonight versus Oklahoma City; a team he plays very well against throughout his NBA career. What do you have to say Spurs fans? What are your thoughts?

Gregg Popovich rips reporter for asking if he’s ‘happy’ about shot selection (Video)

Gregg Popovich has never been a big fan of speaking with reporters during games, and that clearly is not going to change in his 17th season as head coach of the San Antonio Spurs. On Wednesday night, TNT’s David Aldridge caught up with Popovich just before the fourth quarter of the Spurs game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Per usual, Pop was in no mood to talk. Aldridge asked...

Perhaps the most emotion Kawhi Leonard will show this season (Photo)

When San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker nailed the game-winning shot on the Oklahoma City Thunder last night, the players rushed him to celebrate the win. There were smiles all around, hugs being given and all around jubilation. Kawhi Leonard, also rushed TP to congratulate his teammate, but in true Kawhi fashion, showed little emotion. This might be the biggest "grin"...

Diaw: The Team Is Ready

The San Antonio Spurs kick off their 2012-13 regular season tonight versus the New Orleans Hornets in New Orleans. The team remained pretty much in tact only adding guard Nando De Colo in the offseason. Yet despite the lack of many offseason moves, the team got in a full training camp (which will help players added late last season) and are raring to go according to Boris Diaw...

Parker's buzzer-beater a pain reliever for Spurs over Thunder

In consecutive nights, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker was given the ball on the perimeter, definitely not Parker’s strong suit, and both times Parker delivered with a late-game three-pointer to give the Spurs a chance at a win. The NBA season is fully underway for 2012-2013, and it's right on time for this hoops junkie.
