Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is traveling to Colorado to have his sore right hip examined. The team says trainer Jay Jensen will accompany Aldridge to the examination Tuesday in Vail, Colo. Aldridge had an MRI on the hip late last month, but the results were negative. He has blamed the soreness on the grind of the lockout-shortened season and physical play. A first-time All-Star this season, Aldridge leads the Blazers with 21.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Aldridge is questionable for Portland's home game against Golden State on Wednesday night.

Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will have surgery on his right hip and miss the rest of the season. The team said Thursday no date has been set for the arthroscopic procedure, which will repair a slight labral tear. Aldridge says he has had pain for about two weeks and is unsure how the injury occurred. ''I'm just happy we know what it is now and we can move...

Is hip surgery next if Blazers decide to shut down Aldridge?

No one is going to blame LaMarcus Aldridge if he can’t finish out the remaining eight games on the Portland Trail Blazers schedule. If  anything, he might actually be applauded for the decision.  Because after everything else that has gone wrong for Portland this season, risking further damage to Aldridge’s lingering right hip is the  last stroke of bad luck this franchise...

Nate McMillan – Fond memories of Mr. Seattle’s time in Portland

Remembering Nate Nearly a month ago, Portland TrailBlazers management (or the brain-trust that is Paul Allen and Larry Miller) decided to part ways with Mr. Seattle, Nate McMillan. To many, this move was in the organization’s best interest as there were reports that players wanted Nate fired, and that he was losing control of the team. Despite the notion that there was a mutiny...

Greg Oden doesn't want to retire yet

I have a hard time lumping all NBA "busts" into one category. To me, the harsh classification of the word bust should be reserved for guys like Kwame Brown and Darius Miles. High draft picks, loaded with potential, who simply played a particularly poor version of NBA basketball throughout the life of their NBA careers. For guys like Greg Oden, who get hurt, stay hurt and...
