After going 7-59 for the NBA's worst winning percentage, the Charlotte Bobcats can sure use a makeover from top to bottom and that process has already started.

The Bobcats recently hired little-known Mike Dunlap as the new head coach, will have the second overall pick in next week's NBA Draft and know after an abysmal season, all they can do is look up to a positive future.

So the franchise took another step to shaking things up for the best by changing their team colors, uniform and shortening the team name on the jerseys.

The NBA team is coming out with a new color scheme and new uniforms in time for next season. They’re switching to a darker navy blue, adding Carolina blue as an accent, and further de-emphasizing the orange color that dominated their uniforms their first two seasons.

They’re also shortening their nickname on the white home jerseys from “Bobcats” to “Cats.” The blue road jerseys will continue to say, “Charlotte.”

And the changes might keep coming.

The Cats are looking at bringing back the name "Hornets" to the franchise should New Orleans new owner, Tom Benson, does ditch the "Hornets" name for something more appropriate for Louisiana.

The team would investigate whether such a change – which could cost several million dollars – would pay back in improved ticket and merchandise sales and marketing.

“The process would have to include a formal review to determine the legitimate impact on our team’s business model,” said Pete Guelli, the Bobcats’ chief marketing officer.

This is all fine and well but this is merely cosmetic. Charlotte and owner Michael Jordan have a lot to correct as far as changes that really matter - roster changes.

As mentioned above, Walker is a great player to build around and with the team having the second pick in the draft next week, the best player available will help tremendously. Let's face it, this team needs help at spots two through five. They have solid players, such as Gerald Henderson, and D.J. Augustin, but they do need help at power forward which should compliment Walker. Kansas' Thomas Robinson and Kentucky's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would fit the bill.

Again, changing team colors and jerseys is fine, but if the Cats want to forget out this season, it's going to take a lot more than cosmetic changes.
