"Hi, I'm the other Bobcats rookie you should be worried about."Hello Trade Street Posters. Didja hear? The Bobcats have won 2 in a row.  I think that's something they call a streak.  That's right! When's the last time you've heard that one...I mean a win streak by the Bobcats?  I don't want to be the one to jinx it, but tonight the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Washington Wizards by the score: 92 to 76  Feels pretty good to be winning again.Take the jump for some highlights and some news on the trade front.   With a slow start, we all have to start sweating a little bit don't we? I know that I do. 7 fast points as the game starts by the Wizards, and I start getting that sick feeling in my stomach. Then, with a blink of an eye, the Bobcats sputter to life. They start chipping away from the deficit. They come to life and it is like something that I can't explain. Kemba Walker and Michel Kidd-Gilchrist both play with so much heart....

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist goes coast-to-coast for layup despite losing his shoe (Video)

Charlotte Bobcats rookie forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist made an impressive play in the fourth quarter of Saturday night's NBA game against the Dallas Mavericks by grabbing a defensive rebound and going coast-to-coast for a layup despite losing one of his shoes at halfcourt. Kidd-Gilchrist's play inspired the Bobcats to rally from an 8-point deficit with 4:18 left to...

New midset paying off for Bobcats

CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- When Tyrus Thomas dove for a loose ball heading out of bounds near the baseline in the second quarter Tuesday night against the Washington Wizards, it was clear the collective mindset of the Charlotte Bobcats was to execute at maximum effort. Thomas saved the ball to a teammate, and about 12 seconds later Ramon Sessions converted a driving layup. It was one...

Warrick brings Bobcats experience down low

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Bobcats parted ways with veteran guard Matt Carroll on Tuesday, sending him to New Orleans for forward Hakim Warrick. Warrick comes over after playing in just one game, but he should give the team more veteran experience down low. His next game will be the 500th of his seven-year career. We are very excited to add a player of Hakims ability and...

Walker's jumper lifts Bobcats over Wolves

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Tie game, clock winding down, ball in his hands. It's been a while since Kemba Walker has been in that situation. When he finally found himself there with the Charlotte Bobcats, the super-slick guard dipped into his UConn bag of tricks. Just like Villanova, Texas, Pitt and most other college teams he vanquished, the Minnesota Timberwolves had no chance. ...

Bobcats Escape the Twin City with a Win

Byron Mullens played the most complete game of his career tonight.  Keep it up big guy!No one said that this season would be easy. Many said that we'd be lucky to see 15 wins. Well, tonight we got our 4th win of the season, and the 3rd one in a row. It wasn't pretty for the last portion of the 4th quarter, but a W is a W, so no complaints here. Kemba's killer crossover...

Coach rips winless Wizards after loss to Bobcats

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Washington Wizards are a mess without injured stars Nene and John Wall. They were at their ugliest Tuesday night in a woeful 92-76 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. Bizarre Finish Between Cats And Wolves Culminates In Kemba Walker Game Winner

Short four starters and half of their normal active roster, Wednesday’s version of the Minnesota Timberwolves were about as undermanned a team as I’ve seen since Don Nelson was forced to exercise a little-known rule and put a fouled-out Warrior in the game during his most recent stint with Golden State. Lucky for Rick Adelman, his group of nine healthy bodies (one more...

Bobcats 89, Timberwolves 87

MINNEAPOLIS -- The same Charlotte Bobcats franchise -- but not the same team -- that lost its final 23 games last season now has won three consecutive games for the first time since March 2011 after Wednesday's wild 89-87 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis. Remade with the summertime hiring of coach Mike Dunlap and five off-season player additions, the Bobcats...

My Favorite Early NBA Highlight Features Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Losing a Shoe

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored a career-high 25 points Saturday night during the Bobcats overtime win over the Mavericks. The most notable points came on this coast-to-coast basket where he lost his shoe, jumped off his sock-foot and scored with the foul. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. MKG was one of the best picks coming out of this past year’s draft. It’s early on...
