Bobcats sign Henderson

(Rick Bonnell, rbonnell@charlotteobserver.com) The Charlotte Bobcats have signed shooting guard Gerald Henderson to a rookie-scale contract that guarantees him at least $3.38 million over the next two seasons.The Bobcats didn’t disclose contract details, but under the NBA’s scale for first-round picks, Henderson (as the 12th pick) is guaranteed at least that much in his first two seasons. The Bobcats have team options the following two seasons.Henderson is expected to back up Raja Bell at shooting guard. Since the Bobcats aren’t fielding a summer-league team, Henderson has been loaned to the Minnesota Timberwolves for summer league in Las Vegas this month.
