With their second victory over the Washington Wizards, the Charlotte Bobcats matched last season's win total just 12 games into 2012-13.
Fifty games later, the league-worst Bobcats still haven't doubled that amount.
Charlotte will try to defeat an opponent three times in a season for the first time since 2010-11 on Saturday night in the nation's capital.
After going 7-59 and finishing with the worst winning percentage (.106) in league history last season, the Bobcats (13-49) improved to 7-5 on Nov. 24 when they defeated the host Wizards (19-41) 108-106 in double-overtime.
Charlotte snapped a five-game skid in this series 11 days earlier with a 92-76 home win.
Any good feelings or promise brought by the Bobcats' quick start are now long gone, as they've lost 44 of 50 since their last meeting with Washington.
Charlotte is carrying a nine-game skid into this contest after getting routed 116-94 by Oklahoma City on Friday. The last eight defeats have been by dou...

In last summer’s NBA draft, the Washington Wizards used their number 32 overall pick to select Tomas Satoransky, a 6’7” point guard from the Czech Republic. At the time, the pick was somewhat of a head-scratcher. Satoransky was projected to be selected much lower in the second round and there were some noteworthy collegiate prospects still available, including Jae Crowder...

Had I more room in that headline, I would have also added “And Duke Results From 3 Days Ago.” That’s how far down we’ve been sucked into this sinkhole of a season. The Bobcats, after losing by 21 points to a severely disinterested Brooklyn Nets team, are about to wrap up two complete two seasons [...]

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Washington Wizards, one of the few NBA teams who can actually call the Charlotte Bobcats a nemesis, did their bit to rectify that notion Saturday night, with Trevor Ariza scoring a season-high 26 points in a 104-87 victory.

I wasn’t quite sure where to start with this one. My mind was pretty much left in shambles after observing that record-setting bombardment of 3-point shots by Deron Williams. I mean, I had barely gotten settled on my couch and was still blowing...
