Boston Celtics bench player roasts Miami Heat fans for 'We want Boston' chants
Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports

Boston Celtics forward Oshae Brissett isn’t ducking any smoke, particularly from the Miami Heat fans who came after him when his team officially advanced to the second round of the 2024 NBA playoffs after five games.

Oshae Brissett is a vlogger in his spare time, and during one of his live sessions, the 25-year-old swingman called out those who sent him distasteful DMs in the past few days and provided the ultimate clapback.

“I didn’t say anything crazy— we’ll continue the conversation after the first round. How is that warranted for all the DMs I got?” Brissett asked via CelticsUnite on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“They were saying, ‘You don’t even play bro.’ ‘You f------ suck.’ ‘Why wouldn’t you get some minutes?’ Hey, instead of messaging an NBA player while sitting on your couch, go get a job. Why don’t you guys make some money? Because I’m making money,” he concluded.

Oshae Brissett and the Boston Celtics got the last laugh

When the Miami Heat blew out the Chicago Bulls in the final play-in tournament game, the Miami crowd made it known that they wanted to take on the Boston Celtics in the first round. Oshae Brissett addressed it, saying he wants the Miami Heat supporters to keep it coming.

“Keep chanting we want Celtics… we will continue this conversation after the 1st round,” he said.

Those chants grew louder when the Miami Heat won Game 2 to tie the series 1-1, but the Boston Celtics shut them up by winning three consecutive games to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Right now, the Boston Celtics are waiting for the series winner between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic. The Cleveland Cavaliers are leading 3-2 in the best-of-seven first-round series.
