One thing about this summer’s process, is that the Celtics have more pieces to build around, such as Jeff Green, Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger. The year all Boston fans have dreaded, has finally come, as Ainge had shipped away two of Boston’s top icons, in Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to Atlantic Division rivals, the Brooklyn Nets. The first thing you’ll think about this trade is probably somewhere along the lines of “Wow, how could Ainge be so stupid?” But as a diehard Celtics fan and someone who wants to see none other than Banner 18 hoisted into the rafters at TD Garden, I personally find this trade a smart move on our part.
