Waiting For Next Year:
In the finish to an ugly day of Cleveland sports, the Cavaliers fell victim to an impressive Philadelphia defense in an 86-79 defeat on the road. Stat of the night: The highest-scoring backcourt in the NBA (Irving-Waiters) was limited to just 14 points and 8 turnovers on 6-27 from the field.
Both Cleveland sports teams playing at this time of the year are now 2-8. At least we can be excited about the solid nights from youngsters Tristan Thompson (14 pts, 13 rebs) and Tyler Zeller (6 pts, 7 rebs). … So progress?
2-8 (Lost last 6)
6-4 (Won last 2)

CLEVELAND -- Some nights, you just dont have it.
Some nights, you really do -- and the Dallas Mavericks were the latter on Saturday.
Man, were they ever.
Standing there on the other side, witnessing it all, were the poor Cavaliers. And by poor, were talking about five straight losses, two straight at home and just not a whole lot of confidence that this team is headed anywhere...
