Well, this was pretty much a standard Cavs vs Bulls game. That makes 10 straight losses to the Bulls and the Cavaliers were never truly in this game. Cleveland fell behind by 15 early in this one. They did make things interesting a bit midway through the 4th quarter, but the Bulls never really let this one get in doubt and as we’ve seen happen lately, the Cavaliers’ comeback bid was pushed aside down the stretch. Another double-double from Varejao was nice and Donald Sloan was the surprising points leader with 14 off the bench. But the Cavaliers defense had no answer for Marco Belinelli and Luol Deng. NBA News: Cavs recall rookie Kevin Jones from Canton

The Cleveland Cavaliers have recalled forward Kevin Jones from the Canton Charge. Jones has appeared in five games for the Charge this season, averaging 23.6 points (third in the league), 12.6 rebounds (third in the league) and 1.4 steals in 41.0 minutes (fourth in the league). He has four double-doubles on the season. An undrafted rookie out of West Virginia, Jones was signed to...

Cavs rookies hazed with baby strollers

Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott forced the team's three rookies to carry around dolls in strollers before Wednesday's game against the Bulls.

Reality sets in as Cavaliers fall without Irivng, Waiters

“To be honest I do not think you can make up for it.” — Byron Scott, 12/3/12 It wasn’t all that long ago when a Cavaliers-Pistons match-up was must-watch television. If you need proof, just ask Tayshaun Prince, Jason Maxiell, Anderson Varejao or Daniel Gibson — the only four men to play in the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals who happen to still be playing for their respective...

Cavaliers Film Room: The Syracuse Kid

In last week’s Cavaliers Film Room, we broke down three end-game scenarios where the Cavaliers failed to execute in close losses. This week, we’ll focus on the team’s rookie shooting guard, Dion Waiters. We’ve seen some brilliant performances from Dion even in the absence of his playmaking partner in the backcourt, Kyrie Irving. On the other hand, there have been some incredibly...

The Cavaliers Continue to Grind Through Injuries

Is it better to play poorly and win or to play well and lose? The Cleveland Cavaliers (4-14, 13th in the East) have lost quite a few games I’m not sure they deserved to lose this season. The Cavaliers are going through something of an identity crisis at the moment. Or they are a pretty good bad team, or a pretty bad good team? One of the games they most certainly deserved to lose...

Bulls G Hamilton could miss 2 weeks

Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau says veteran guard Richard Hamilton could miss two weeks because of a foot injury. Hamilton sustained a left plantar fascia tear in Saturday's game against Philadelphia and didn't play in Tuesday's loss to Indiana. Thibodeau said before Wednesday night's game against Cleveland that Hamilton, who is averaging 13.9 points, will probably...

Joakim Noah Was A ‘Sad Little Boy’ When MJ Dropped 55 At MSG

If you didn’t already know, Joakim Noah grew up in NY and naturally he was a Knicks fan. And consequently, he hated the Bulls. Off to a career best start averaging 13 points, 1o rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks a game, he has a shot to be voted in as a first time All-Star this year. When asked to describe the franchise’s historic factors if he were to be selected, Joakim Noah...

Cavaliers guard Dion Waiters out against Bulls

Cavaliers rookie guard Dion Waiters is out for Wednesday night's game against the Chicago Bulls because of a sprained left ankle. Waiters, taken with the No. 4 pick in this year's draft, was injured in Saturday's double-overtime loss to Portland. He didn't play in Monday's game against Detroit and it's uncertain when he will return. Waiters is averaging 15...

Bulls 95, Cavaliers 85

Marco Belinelli scored a season-high 23 points, Luol Deng added 22 and the Chicago Bulls took control early on to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 95-85 on Wednesday night. Belinelli, starting his second straight game in place of injured shooting guard Richard Hamilton, helped the Bulls bounce back from a four-point home loss to Indiana on Tuesday. Chicago went ahead for good less...

Anderson Varejao is in Hall of Fame company this season

Anderson Varejao is averaging 15.2 points and 15.4 rebounds per game heading into tonight's matchup with the Chicago Bulls.  He's also shooting 52.2 percent from the floor overall and 77.7 percent from the free throw line. To that point, Dave Wooley (@dwooley81) emailed me the following statistic. The players who have averaged at least 15 points and...

Byron Scott is making his rookies carry around baby dolls and strollers

Rookie hazing isn’t uncommon in professional sports. Nevertheless, it’s pretty rare that you hear of a head coach leading the charge when it comes to hazing rookies. But that’s exactly what Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott is doing. According to ESPN, Scott is hazing his rookies Dion Waiters, Tyler Zeller and Kevin Jones by making them carry around baby dolls and...
