On their fourth game in five nights, the Cavs stopped a few streaks.. First and foremost, they snapped their six game losing streak. In addition, they beat Milwaukee for the first time in ten tries and they stopped their 17-game losing streak to the Central Division. They earned it. It was a complete game. For the second night in a row, all five Cavaliers starters scored in double figures and they held the Bucks to just 39% shooting. It was also nice to see them win a game without Kyrie Irving going off. Dion Waiters led the Cavs with 18 points, Tristan Thompson had 14 points and 14 rebounds (his third straight double-double), and CJ Miles scored 16 off the bench. Monta Ellis led everyone with 37 points, but no other Buck player scored in double figures. Also, Luke Walton played 24 minutes and put up this line: 7 points, 6 boards, 4 assists and  3 steals. The Cavs have a chance to start an actual win streak on Wednesday when they travel to Washington to face the Wizards. Jennings: I nearly fought Rondo

Brandon Jennings said that he and Rajon Rondo probably would have fought during Friday's game if not for the prospect of being fined.

Bucks too tired to keep up with Cavs

MILWAUKEE -- In order for the Milwaukee Bucks to take the next step, they're going to have to avoid nights like Saturday. Playing their fourth game in five days, the Bucks lacked energy from the start and nothing could get them going. The end result was a 94-82 loss to a Cavaliers team that entered losers of six straight and 11 of its last 13. "Right from the jump ball...

Sanders leads way for Bucks in Boston

Larry Sanders sat on the bench during a late timeout, his mouth gushing blood. The cut came from one of the multiple times the Bucks forward was hit in the face during Friday's contest. Instead of losing his cool, Sanders hit them back, but not literally. He let his play do the talking. With the Bucks up three with 18 seconds left in overtime, Sanders blocked Paul Pierce'...

On Tristan Thompson's double-doubles and Luke Walton's monster night

Tristan Thompson continues to bring energy every night. He might not have improved as much offensively as some would've hoped for this summer, but he is trending upward statistically at the moment. Thompson has now double-double'd eight times in 29 games this season after his Varejao-ish 14-point, 14-rebound effort in Milwaukee on Saturday.  Last season...

Cavaliers beat Bucks 94-82

MILWAUKEE (AP) --The Cleveland Cavaliers had a plan and worked it to perfection. Dion Waiters scored 18 points, and the Cavaliers snapped a six-game losing streak with a 94-82 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. Cavaliers coach Byron Scott knew he had to slow down Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis. Cleveland shut down Jennings, but Ellis shredded the defense and scored...

Waiters Making An Impact

The Cleveland Cavaliers, who have been dealing with numerous injuries this season, are glad to have first round pick Dion Waiters back from an ankle injury.

Bucks prevail over Celtics in OT

Monta Ellis scored five of his 27 points in overtime and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Boston Celtics 99-94 Friday night in the teams' final meeting this season. Milwaukee prevailed despite blowing a seven-point lead late in regulation. The Bucks won for the sixth time in eight games, taking three of four against the Celtics, who had a five-game home winning streak snapped despite...

Comments from the Other Side - Bucks 12/21

The Bucks did what they had to to win but I'm convinced after watching this again that many of the missed shots were due to fouls not being called on the Bucks. Yes there were open misses but there were also 3 KG layups that missed because he was hacked on the arm. The officials were terrible and it culminated in Jeff Green bleeding on the floor while play went on and the Bucks...

No easy way to spin Cavs' sorrows

CLEVELAND -- When you lose this much, there are no great stories to share. Everything pretty much stinks. Everything stops making sense. Everything you thought of yourself as a basketball player well, its easy to start questioning it. Thats where the Cavaliers may be at this point. Maybe not, but theres certainly a chance. Thats just the way it goes in sports. You can talk all...

Brandon Jennings Wanted to Fight Rajon Rondo in Bucks’ Win Over Celtics Friday, But Didn’t Want to Incur Fine

Brandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo likely won’t be exchanging Christmas presents anytime soon, but they were exchanging unpleasentries on Friday night, which almost led to a fight. The Bucks’ point guard said he almost fought Rondo, but had second thoughts because of the fines he would incur. Rondo bumped Jennings during the first quarter, and the two had some words. “It was...

Jeff Green Bruises Cheek and Chips Teeth in Loss

Photo by AP Besides the troubling overtime defeat against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night, Doc Rivers’ team felt their hearts stop when Jeff Green fell to the Red Auerbach Parquet Floor holding his face. Luckily for the green team, it isn’t as major as it looked. Green suffered a hit to the face from the elbow of Milwaukee’s Ersan Ilyasova at the 27-second mark in overtime...

Bucks 99, Celtics 94, OT

BOSTON -- The Milwaukee Bucks blew a five-point lead in the final 29 seconds of regulation but regrouped in time to escape with a 99-94 overtime win over the Celtics Friday night. It was the Bucks' second win in as many tries in Boston this season and Milwaukee went 3-1 against Boston in the season series that is already over. Jumpers by Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (5-for...

Cavaliers fall to Pacers for 6th straight loss

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Roy Hibbert scored 18 points and Lance Stephenson added a season-high 16 to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 99-89 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who lost their sixth straight game Friday night. Hibbert didn't have to deal with injured Cavs center Anderson Varejao, the NBA's leading rebounder. Varejao missed his second game in a row with a bruised right...
