As a young and talented NBA prospect, Vernon Goodridge has been doing what he can to keep the dream of making it to The Association alive. The Brooklyn native played overseas in Ukraine last season, averaging 10.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game. He's a high-flying, athletic forward whom many believe is right on the cusp of breaking into the league. The Knicks are among the teams that certainly see enough promise in Goodridge. The team has kept him on the radar since 2010 and scouted him multiple times since.Talking about his workouts for his hometown squad, Goodridge said, "Each time I work out for the Knicks, I feel like I get a little better. I try to show my skills in regard to rebounding the ball and my shot-blocking ability. The second time I went out there, I wanted to show what I could do without the ball too. It's a difficult situation because right off the bat, most people want to come out and take that first shot. I'm a patient person and can ...

Before the 2011-12 season began, no one in the basketball world thought a Harvard alum named Jeremy Lin would become the Tim Tebow-like figure in the NBA. And no one in their right mind thought the New York Knicks would let their media darling slip between their fingers. Well, as of Tuesday’s 10:59 p.m. CST [...]
Since joining the Association in 1976, there has never really been a rivalry between the New Jersey Nets and the New York Knicks, however that situation could change soon now that the Nets have relocated to Brooklyn. That would be No. 1 overall pick Anthony Davis rocking the Burgundy & Gold during USA Basketball’s team sleepover/flight (via BuzzFeed). As Bog notes, this isn’t the first time Davis has worn the hat. But why is he wearing it? Or, who cares? Still, cute pic, guys.
The photographer was Kevin Love, who also just shared Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony in berets. Kevin Love is loved.
The New York Knicks will waist no time re-heating rivalries as they open the season at the Barclay’s Center on November 1st. After they battle the Brooklyn Nets for the crown of New York, they’ll host their Eastern conference rival, Miami Heat, at Madison Square Garden the very next night. What better way to get the season started than to heat up some rivalries, right? Other...

As NBA teams seemed to prove in last month's rookie draft, as talented a player as Iona College's Scott Machado is, sometimes homegrown products just simply get overlooked.Perhaps among those underrated is Tony Taylor Jr., a 6'3 guard out of George Washington University, who averaged 13.1 points and 4.3 assists during his senior senior in 2011-12.Though Taylor went undrafted...
