* Stats Before Saturday Fans of the Brooklyn Nets and Deron Williams were probably not happy that he did not make the All Star game, but it is has turned out to be a godsend so far, as he has exploded out of the All-Star break, looking like the old Deron Williams for the first time in a long time. It looks like all he needed was a break and the five days off, coupled with the recent ankle treatment he received, has made him into a new man. Thoughts of him declining as a player were off, as anyone who follows Williams or the Nets knows that he has been playing injured all year, with two bad ankles, a bad wrist and who knows what else. The fact that he was averaging over 16 points and 7 assists per game while injured is actually quite impressive. But since the All Star break, Williams has averaged 23.2 points and 7.3 assists per game and it looks like the Nets’ franchise player is back, for now. Sure his injuries may come back this year, but at least Net fans and management know that ...
