Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls 1st Round Playoff Preview The Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls series is by far the most evenly matched in the 1st round of the East Playoffs, which is the way it should be in a 4-5 matchup. The Nets have the far better offense, while the Bulls are the better defensive team. However close this series is, it will all come down to these two things, the Bulls’ defense and the Nets’ offense. The Bulls must do 3 things to beat the Nets, slow down and/or stop, one or both of Williams and Lopez, win on the glass and find some way to score enough points. The Bulls were 29th in the NBA in scoring average and have often struggled to find a way to score enough to win games, but their 3rd ranked defense, helped them win the majority of their games. So the job is up to Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer to both step up and be the primary scoring options the Bulls need them to be, as when both are scoring efficiently, the Bulls are incredibly difficult to beat.
