A year after he crashed his SUV into a telephone pole in the Hamptons, newly hired Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd returns to court on Tuesday to answer drunken driving charges.
Kidd retired as an NBA player after last season and was hired to coach the Nets.
He was arrested on July 15, 2012. Southampton Town police say he smashed his Cadillac SUV into a telephone pole in the hamlet of Water Mill. Police say he smelled of alcohol and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. He was the only person in the vehicle and suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Kidd has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor DWI charge.
The 10-time All-Star was arrested on a 2001 domestic violence charge and acknowledged he struck his former wife.

Brooklyn Nets forward Paul Pierce recently started an Instagram account and his first order of business was posting 41(!!!) different photos of his favorite memories while in Boston. Feel free to browse the entire collection here.
I'm going to share some of my favorite Boston memories on my new Instagram account. Follow me @paulpierce and #THANKYOUBOSTON

Kevin Garnett has been the biggest fan of Gino Time at the TD Garden, which gets blasted over the jumbotron anytime the Celtics win a home game by a blow-out. The Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett recently learned that Gino will make an appearance in KG's tribute video, which the Celtics have made for the likes of Kendrick Perkins, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, Tom Thibideau...
In case you missed Paul Pierce's tweets and Instagram photos today, he has also posted a YouTube video (more like a slide show) thanking the city of Boston.

The trade is done, the guys have been introduced, and now the process of moving on begins (well, maybe it begins after the Nets introduce everyone on Thursday). Now we’re starting to get a better feel for what the Celtics really got out of this deal.
I’m hoping this post can be a handy guide for fans who are trying to figure out what the C’s got as far as “assets” and...
Being fortunate enough to have Tuesdays off, I was on Twitter today (as usual) as Paul Pierce took us all down memory lane. He hadn’t tweeted anything in regards to “the trade” yet, and then he came out with this tweet late this afternoon:
I’m going to share some of my favorite Boston memories on my new Instagram account. Follow me @paulpierce and #THANKYOUBOSTON
A.B. As of last weekend, Paul Pierce is officially no longer a member of the Boston Celtics.
Considered by many to be one of the top 5 Celtics players of all time, Pierce spent the last 15 years as a member of the Green. During that span Pierce won an NBA Championship in 2008 and scored over 20,000 career points.
So while Pierce’s career will continue, “The Truth” will take...
Welp, the time has come for me to finally write THAT post. I was hoping to put off this post for another five years or so, but in the ever-changing world of sports, things can happen rather quickly. Such is the case with former Boston Celtic legend Paul Pierce, now a Brooklyn Net. Even after the blockbuster trade was announced on Friday, for some (including myself) it did not feel...
Everyone knows KG is the world's biggest fan of Gino Time which is why the C's will incorporate the popular '70s dancer into KG's upcoming tribute video. But now that KG's in Brooklyn there will be no more Gino Time for him - not unless the Nets find themselves down 20 to the C's at the TD Garden with under a minute left in the game. Or not unless Nets...
Would you want Scal as the Celtics coach?
RT @MrTrpleDouble10: Scal said he half-jokingly called Ainge as soon as Doc was gone to ask about job. Ainge told him he was 4th on his list

Alright. I know this was probably a joke, but let's say it wasn't. Would you want Scal as the Celtics coach? For anyone that reads my posts...
