This may be an underwhelming move for Nets fans but it’s not a terrible one. They were able to get the best player in the deal in Thornton, a still relatively young scorer at 26 that will come off the bench for two older veterans that play around 15 minutes per game at best. Now Thornton has struggled shooting throughout this season, under 40 percent overall and just under 32 percent from three, but he has had flashes of still being the scorer he was just two seasons ago posting a huge game against the best defensive team in the league, the Indiana Pacers, going off for 42 points on 16-27 shooting and 7-15 from three. This will not be an every game occurrence but it gives one hope that when given the opportunity he can produce.
