Almost like a man without a home. Dwight Howard was hoping to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets from the Orlando Magic but the Nets have recently signed center Brook Lopez, all but ending Howard's hopes of joining the team. Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan had said earlier that the odds of the Magic and the Nets reaching some sort of agreement was low. The Magic are still in talks with the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers for a deal but Henningan doesn't seem to be in any rush to make a deal.

How bad does it have to suck to be Dwight Howard, wanting to leave Orlando, and your GM can't find a deal for you? I'm sure any team would love to have Howard on their roster but for some reason Hennigan just can't get the job done. Obviously the Magic need a good trade for Howard but how long are you willing to hold somebody who just doesn't want to be there anymore? The Nets had to do something after they couldn't work out a deal with the Magic and Howard is left out in the dust.

TL;DR The Nets sign Brook Lopez to a four-year extension ending Howard's hopes of joining them.
