5TH QUARTER MAGAZINE:
The Brooklyn Nets new home Barclays center opened over the weekend, and the “Brooklynettes” debut their new street-inspired uniforms. Complete with knee-boots, fingerless gloves, and girl group attitude. The uniforms are designed by renown costume designer David Dalrymple whose designed costumes for Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Britney Spears.
“The uniforms are feminine and strong, this isn’t palm trees and sunshine. It’s New York City, and it’s Brooklyn. It’s a different sensibility. We go hard,” the designer said.
They will have seven different ensembles for game day including, a jumpsuit, a neoprene scuba blazer with sequin leggings, a little cropped warm-up jacket, and painted sequin leggings. Check out a few of the looks.

Being a rookie in the NBA is not always a dream come true. First-year players need to put up with a lot of nonsense, from lugging around bags for veterans to making late-night Taco Bell runs for a star with the munchies.
The hazing is an unfortunate cross rookies must bear without complaint, but at least it is only for one year. Unless, of course, you are MarShon Brooks.
NBA camps open next week but the rookie hazing and hijinks have already begun. Veterans Deron Williams and Reggie Evans played a practical joke on “the rook” Marshon Brooks‘ by filling his car with popcorn. Apparently, last season’s shortened number of 66 games compared to the regular 82 qualifies Brooks as a rookie still.

It has become evident that the Brooklyn Nets are on a mission to create a persona starkly different from the one they had while playing in New Jersey. There are the new black and white jerseys, the rustic Barclays Center, and the thought by some that the franchise is cool. Which was all done not by accident.
But all of those changes weren’t apparently enough for the Nets. They...
Before I start this 2012-2013 season preview for the Brooklyn Nets, I feel the need to give you my background in doing so.
Growing up in Brooklyn, basketball really wasn’t my sport. I loved my Yankees, and I loved my Giants. However, it was about 2001 when basketball intercepted my sports soul, and I was at an impasse.
You see, I hate being like everyone else; I have this knack...
When Mikhail Prokhorov bought the Brooklyn (formerly New Jersey) Nets back in 2010, he promised an NBA Championship within five years. It is two years later and during that time the Nets went 46-102, not coming anywhere near the playoffs.
However, after keeping Deron Williams and Brook Lopez and adding Joe Johnson this offseason, the Nets look like a team on the rise and Prokhorov...
Recall back in June, the Brooklynettes debuted their new uniforms. Well, they've added a few costume changes just in time for the Halloween season.
We've got everything a cheerleader needs....

Consider Madison Square Garden on watch.
Luring the Nets from New Jersey was only Step 1 in Brooklyn's metamorphosis into an entertainment hot spot. Next up for the borough, a ruthless bid in stealing the spotlight and the stars from MSG, New Jersey's Prudential Center, and any other venue that books boldface names in music and sports.
There's a new kid in town, folks...
In a city that includes Rex Ryan among its sports personalities, preseason prognostications in New York should be taken with one of those big grains of salt that flavors the soft pretzels sold on Manhattan street corners. Joe Namath once shocked the world by guaranteeing a Jets victory over the Colts in Super Bowl III. Now a New York franchise seems remiss if some member of the organization...
It’s sort of an inmate/dominatrix crossover…..I’m not sure.
But I think I like it. What do you all think?
Former San Antonio Spurs player Ime Udoka will be back in the silver and black this coming season, though he won’t be dawning the typical Spurs jersey fans are accustomed to seeing him wear. Instead he’ll most likely be wearing a Spurs polo or some sort of business suit.
In an entertaining piece by Ken Rodriguez for Spurs.com, Rodriguez explains how Udoka made the decision...
We at Razzball know and understand the wide world of the internet can be a scary place. It’s full of misinformation, bald Britney Spears pics and flat out lies.
