MILWAUKEE --Just how good has the bench been for the Milwaukee Bucks? Take it as you may, but there are a few stats that say it has been the best in the NBA. The first stat, which is even listed on the league's website but isn't always the greatest measurement of success, is called efficiency and is measured by subtracting field goals missed, free throws missed and turnovers from points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Milwaukee's bench has a 33.4 difference in efficiency between their counterparts through five games this season. There's a wide margin between the Bucks and San Antonio, which is second in the ratings at 18.4. The Bucks' bench also leads the league in simpler stats. Milwaukee's bench is tops in the league at 43.0 points per game, tops in rebounds at 22.0 per game, tops in blocks at 4.2 per game, tops in field goal percentage at 52.4 percent and second in steals at 4.4 per game. Turnovers are the only stat in which Milwaukee's bench st...

Bucks defense steps up in win over Sixers

Two nights ago, the Milwaukee Bucks watched Boston take control of a close game in the fourth quarter by stepping up and making shots. Monday night found the Bucks yet again in the fourth quarter of a close game. This time around Milwaukee clamped down defensively, which lead to easy baskets and sealed the Bucks 105-96 win over Philadelphia, their first 3-0 road start since 2001...

Bucks Tuesday: Skiles aims to stockpile wins

ST. FRANCIS, WIS.- The Bucks are 4-2. So far, so good, right?Well, yes, but Milwaukee sees an opportunity for more. With two very winnable home games left this week and a trip to Charlotte on Monday, the Bucks want to be 7-2 before heading to Miami next Wednesday. Milwaukee has only been 7-2 or better through nine games twice since 1983. With the Danny Granger-less Indiana Pacers...

PHILADELPHIA - Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings, bent on putting his worst game of the young season behind him, scored a season-high 33 points Monday night to lead the Bucks past the Philadelphia 76ers, 105-96. "I was so upset with my game in Boston the other night," said Jennings, who was limited to four points on 1-for-11 shooting in Saturday's 106-100 loss...

After a perfect road trip, the Philadelphia 76ers are hoping to carry that momentum back home. The Milwaukee Bucks, meanwhile, are going for their best start on the road in 11 years. Games To Watch, Week Three (11/12-11/18)

Monday, November 12th: Bucks @ Sixers, 7:00 ET, NBALP: Jrue Holiday recently signed the four-year, $41 million extension that the Bucks elected not to offer Brandon Jennings.  Motivation? I expect Jennings’ intensity to rival that of Kevin Garnett.  The young man feels he has a point to prove this season, and I’m sure this is one of the games he’d circled on the calendar...

Sixers Drop One to the Bucks, 105-96

Brandon Jennings led the Milwaukee Bucks with 33 points and 8 assists in their 105-96 victory past the Philadelphia 76ers Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center.  Jrue Holiday was simply amazing on the Sixers end with 25 points. But the real story was Jason Richardson coming back from an ankle injury to contribute 20 points and an insane 360 slam at the end of the first half...

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Philladelphia 76ers Monday night by a final score of 105-96. The Bucks moved to 4-2, and the Sixers fell to 4-3. The Bucks made their first 8 shots of the game. Then they started turning the ball over like crazy for a stretch spanning the first and second quarter, and let the Sixers hang around. Then the Bucks went on a run, Jennings caught...

Enemy Chatter: Bucks fans have a mild dislike for NBA officiating

We often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics. Here’s a look at some enemy chatter from Milwaukee. I’m so tired of the NBA! Last night’s game was officiated like always! One of the leagues GEM teams comes in and gets all the calls in the 4th. Paul Pierce can go to the line w/out being touched but Illyasova got fouled in...

Celtics Climb Back to .500 with 96-92 Win Over Bucks

The Celtics won another very ugly game as they prevailed over the Milwaukee Bucks and avenged the loss in their home opener. They started off slow, struggling to hit shots and once again lacking defense. Milwaukee scored 30 of the first 38 points in the paint. But, in the second half, the Celtics tightened the defense and were able to execute down the stretch to get their 3rd...
