ST. FRANCIS, Wis. After tearing a ligament in his left elbow, rookie guard Doron Lamb wasn't expected to participate in any part of Milwaukee Bucks training camp. Like Tobias Harris a year earlier, Lamb seemed destined to spend much of the regular season finding his way and struggling to be in the right spots. But Lamb could tell all along that he had been healing faster than his original prognosis. He started shooting earlier than expected. And on Tuesday, he took part in his first full practice. Then, on Wednesday, Lamb was cleared to do what he had been hoping for all preseason long: play in an actual NBA game. The Bucks have listed Lamb as "probable" for Thursday's game against Charlotte. "I just wanted to play," said Lamb, a second-round pick from the University of Kentucky. "It healed very well, not full, but well enough to play right now."Lamb said Wednesday that it'll be at least a week until he's 100 percent, but with the Bucks' guard core lacking depth, he should have some sort of role immediately. In the meantime, Lamb can't wait to get on the court after already having dealt with the first setback of his NBA career. "I'm very excited," he said. "I've been watching them play for a month now. I can't wait to get out there with my teammates." Follow Ryan Kartje on Twitter.
