By PAUL DIGIACOMO,STATS Senior Editor The New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks are struggling and under .500, but Friday night's matchup at the Bradley Center will still have some bearing on the playoff race in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee looks to shave a game off New York's lead for the eighth and final postseason spot in the East as it tries to continue its recent dominance in the series. The Knicks (18-21) have lost three straight and six of nine following a season-high seven-game win streak that coincided with Jeremy Lin seeing more action and moving into the starting lineup. Despite its struggles, New York is in eighth place in the conference, leading Milwaukee (15-24) and Cleveland by three games. With the Big East tournament being played at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks embarked on a four-game road trip Sunday and have dropped the first three. They fell 115-111 in overtime to Boston on Sunday, 95-85 to Dallas on Tuesday and 118-105 to San Antonio on Wedn...

Lin: Mavs did great job with defensive stops

DALLAS - Jeremy Lin's second game against the Mavericks was nowhere near as successful as his first. The overnight sensation was in the middle of "Linsanity" when he scored 28 and dished out 14 assists in a 104-97 nationally televised win over Dallas last month. Tuesday night was much more of a struggle for the 23-year-old point guard. Lin, who was on the floor for...

Wait, Is That Jeremy Lin At A Bar With Knicks Teammates?

Would Jeremy Lin, compared by many as the Tim Tebow of the NBA for his Christian beliefs and ability to bring Skip Bayless to his knees, be in a nightclub with his Knicks teammates? Here’s what we know about this photo that is starting to make its rounds on the Internet: that’s Landry Fields (upper right) and Jared Jeffries in the Marines shirt. As for the two guys hanging with...

Carmelo Anthony not comfortable playing with Jeremy Lin

According to a recent article from The New York Times, Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is not yet comfortable playing with Jeremy Lin. After Anthony went down with a groin injury that forced him to miss seven games in February, Lin became the starting point guard for the Knicks, and “Linsanity” was born. The Knicks went 6-1 in Anthony’s absence but have been 2-4 since. ...

Knicks need to become 'Melo's team

The New York Knicks locker room must be what it is like to be eight, with parents who fight all the time despite being the types who like to pretend the kids do not notice. There is no screaming. There are no ugly words. There is just this cloud of dysfunction and tension hanging over everything that happens, revealing itself in pregnant pauses and a complete lack of honesty on...

Scouting the Knicks: 'Linsanity' comes to San Antonio

The San Antonio Spurs (25-12) return to action tonight after a “rare” two days off in this condensed NBA season. Knicks' star power doesn't light up win column

MILWAUKEE Since Carmelo Anthony returned to the New York Knicks' lineup, all of the momentum built up through the height of Linsanity has officially been squandered. Ginobili feeling great

After dealing with a broken hand and an abdominal strain, San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili is back on the court which should help the Spurs in the stretch-run towards the playoffs. And although he returned to action in a loss to the Denver Nuggets in San Antonio, Spurs fans should be relived to know he is feeling much better. "I felt great. The first thing was to feel...

Beaubois a spark off the bench in Mavs' win

DALLAS In the summer of 2010, a quiet, young, unknown point guard prospect worked out at the American Airlines Center gym. The only team that really believed in him was the Dallas Mavericks, who sent him to their summer-league team in Las Vegas hoping that someday, he'd have an international following and an electric presence and would be ready as ready for a high-profile game...

Knicks raise prices, lower results

The way the New York Knicks are going now, it would have been easier for Knicks fans to go to Coney Island and ride a blue and orange roller coaster for a while rather than watch this team's crazy highs and lows.   It'd be cheaper, too. The Knicks have announced another ticket increasethis year.  This one is only 4.9% (compared to 49% last year for some seats) and it...

Talking sports with some of my friends | SPORTS SCENE

Here's everything I know about the world of sports. I thought you should know it too. . Will somebody please tell ESPN that there are other teams playing in the NBA besides Jeremy Lin and his New York Knicks? For those of you suddenly jumping on the Knicks bandwagon, forget about it. They have no chance to defeat the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls if those two teams stay healthy...
