ST. FRANCIS, Wis. - John Henson was grinning from ear to ear and rightfully so.For the first time in nearly three weeks, the Bucks rookie was a full participant in practice, and barring any setbacks Tuesday, he will be active for Wednesday's game against Memphis at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Henson sprained his left knee and suffered a bone bruise Oct. 16 in an exhibition game against Chicago. He returned to non-contact practice last week, but Monday was the first day he did everything. "It went well," Henson said. "It was good to go up and down for the first time in 2.5, 3 weeks. I felt it a little bit, but I got through it. "I'm progressing well. Obviously I was a little winded, because that's just how it is, but it's progressing well. I made some plays that I usually can make."Missing camp time can be deadly to rookies trying to sneak into NBA rotations. While Henson was out, forwards Larry Sanders and Ekpe Udoh both have played well. ...

Sanders proving to be a playmaker for Bucks

MILWAUKEE - Larry Sanders had finally slowed down. But in a heartbeat, it all sped up again. "Larry, Larry, Larry " The opening night crowd at the BMO Harris Bradley Center burst into a spirited chant as the Bucks forward pumped up the crowd with his hands, pointing in all different directions of the arena as he headed to the bench after fouling out of the game. Sanders...

Bucks Tuesday: Udrih out with thigh bruise

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. -- The Bucks' depth at the guard position wasn't strong to begin with, and it will be tested Wednesday night. Backup point guard Beno Udrih will miss the Memphis game with a thigh contusion suffered Monday during practice. Bucks coach Scott Skiles said Udrih collided with forward Ersan Ilyasova, causing a pretty deep bruise on Udrih's thigh. "...

Jennings named Conf. Player of the Week

ST. FRANCIS, Wis.- The season opened with a tremendous challenge for Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings. Celtics All Star point guard Rajon Rondo on Friday and then the reigning Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving on Saturday. The league took note of Jennings' performance against two of the best the NBA has to offer, naming him the Eastern Conference's Player of the Week....

Brandon Jennings hits 3 at the buzzer to lift Bucks over Cavs

Brandon Jennings didn’t receive a contract extension by the Halloween deadline. Jennings made it clear that this season he would be “auditioning” for other teams. So far, he seems to be making good on that promise. In Friday night’s game against the Celtics, Jennings had 21 and 13. On Saturday in the Bucks home opener [...]

Bucks Stun Cavs

Your Milwaukee Bucks are 2-0 to start the season for the first time in about 5 years. Brandon “Swizel Stick” Jennings hit a three ball at the buzzer to send the Bucks to a 105-102 victory. Kind of an interesting game for the Bucks. The first unit wasn’t really thriving all night, but the second unit (udrih, Udo, Dunleavy, etc) stepped up big and rallied the Bucks back into...

Byron Scott: Clock started late on Brandon Jennings’ game-winner (Video)

I felt we came out ready to play. I don’t want to get fined, so I’m not going to say anything about the clock starting late on the last shot. They have to figure out a way to do something about that. Bottom line is it doesn’t count or you have to take it out again. Looking at it again in the locker room a couple of times, the shot shouldn’t have counted. The clock started...

Brandon Jennings, James Harden win NBA Player of Week awards

The Milwaukee Bucks’ Brandon Jennings and the Houston Rockets’ James Harden were named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively.   Jennings guided the Bucks to a 2-0 record to start the season, a first for the team since the 2005-06 campaign.  Jennings led the league in assists (13.0 apg) and paced the conference in steals (4.0 spg), while finishing...

Cavs fall to Bucks at the buzzer

Not the ideal start to the road trip I thought this game was headed to overtime. Trailing 102-100 with eight seconds left in the game, Kyrie Irving went the length of the floor and hit the game tying layup, leaving just seven tenths of a second on the clock. With that little time left, I figured that we were going to get an extra five minutes of the Cavs not guarding Mike Dunleavy...

Brandon Jennings and James Harden garner NBA Player of the Week honors.

Lucky lefties.

Grizzlies-Bucks Preview

The Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks have overcome occasional struggles to get off to solid starts. After both pulled out tough victories in their last contests, Milwaukee looks to open 3-0 for the first time in seven years while ending a three-game losing streak to visiting Memphis on Wednesday night. Milwaukee opened with a 99-88 win at Boston on Friday, then got a Brandon...
