ST. FRANCIS, Wis. The Milwaukee Bucks have recalled rookie guard Doron Lamb from Fort Wayne of the D-League, general manager John Hammond announced Sunday. Lamb's second stint in the D-League went much smoother than his first two games with the Mad Ants. In this four-game run with Fort Wayne, Lamb averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 60.0 percent from beyond the arc. Milwaukee's second round pick out of Kentucky, Lamb put up back-to-back great games Friday and Saturday. Against Rio Grande Valley on Friday, the 21-year-old scored 18 points with five rebounds and three assists while shooting 6 of 15. Saturday was Lamb's best game of the six he's played down in the D-League, scoring 24 points with five rebounds and four assists while shooting 9 of 14 from the field and 4 of 6 on three-pointers in a 119-98 victory over Iowa. Lamb found a role in the Bucks' rotation in late November, averaging 15.9 minutes per game during a 15-game stretch, mainly because guard Beno Udrih was out with a sprained right ankle. When Udrih returned and his minutes slipped, the Bucks sent Lamb down in mid-January to get minutes. In two games with the Mad Ants in January, Lamb shot 22.7 percent from the field and averaged just 7.5 points per game. Milwaukee recalled Lamb on Jan. 21 and he was inactive for all seven games before being sent back down on Feb. 3. He's yet to appear in a game under Jim Boylan and hasn't seen NBA action since Jan. 5. Follow Andrew Gruman on Twitter.
