MILWAUKEE -- Already letting one game against the Bobcats slip through their hands this season, the Milwaukee Bucks weren't going to let it happen again. In a battle of two teams that badly needed a victory, the Bucks dominated from start to finish, taking care of business against a Charlotte team that has come crashing down to Earth after a 7-5 start. Milwaukee entered losers of seven of its last nine. Charlotte had lost five straight, looking more and more like the team that only won seven games a year ago. Unlike the first meeting between the two teams in which the Bucks blew an 11-point fourth quarter lead in a 102-98 loss, Milwaukee didn't let up Friday night. For the first time this season, the Bucks dominated a team that is supposed to be and is inferior to them. "Whenever you are up as many points as we were up at different parts of the game, there is usually two things going on," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. You are playing pretty good and the other te...

Bucks Friday: Dunleavy, Udrih still ailing

MILWAUKEE -- The Bucks will continue to be without the services of veteran forward Mike Dunleavy Friday night against Charlotte, as his left knee isn't quite ready to go. Dunleavy suffered a bone bruise last Friday in Minnesota when a Timberwolves player ran into the back of his left knee during the fourth quarter of Milwaukee's 95-85 loss. The Bucks sixth-man tested the...

Ilyasova' s resurgence spurs Bucks' victory

MILWAUKEE - It's been an up-and-down season for Ersan Ilyasova, but his season-high 21-point, 12-rebound performance Friday in the Milwaukee Bucks' 108-93 victory over Charlotte may be the latest sign that a turnaround is underway. Ilyasova finished second in the Most Improved Player voting last season after averaging 13.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 60 games, good enough...

Williams pays 'respectful' tribute to Majerus

MILWAUKEE -- Coaches don't wear uniforms. So, Marquette coach Buzz Williams needed a way to pay homage to former MU coach Rick Majerus. What he came up with was pretty meaningful. Tossing off his usual coat and tie, Williams wore Majerus' trademark black turtleneck. "I wanted to be respectful," Williams said. "I just wanted to have it be as a tribute. Our...

Bucks too much for Bobcats

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Bucks played with a sense of urgency and came away with the victory. Ersan Ilyasova scored a season-high 21 points and Marquis Daniels had season highs with 18 points and six rebounds and the Milwaukee Bucks took command early and beat the Charlotte Bobcats 108-93 on Friday night. "We've got to stay like that," Daniels said. "Regardless...

Bucks, Bobcats looking to bust slumps

Playing the team with the Eastern Conference's longest losing streak might be just what the Milwaukee Bucks need to break out of their recent funk. The slumping Bucks will try to avoid losing for the eighth time in 10 games Friday night when they host the Charlotte Bobcats, who have dropped eight straight in Milwaukee. After a 6-2 start, the Bucks (8-9) fell under .500 for...

Q&A with Bucks' Brandon Jennings: Spurs are a clique

After the San Antonio Spurs' recent win over the Milwaukee Bucks, I had a chance to speak with Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings. Jennings, who finished with 14 points and four assists in 38 minutes of action versus the Spurs, spoke on San Antonio and what it takes to play against them to have a shot at winning, his thoughts on the controversial photo with Tim Duncan and...

Bobcats-Bucks Preview

Bucks Dominate Bobcats

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night, 108-93. The Bucks controlled this one from the start. They took a 15 point lead in the first, and they never let the Bobcats make a serious run. The Bucks were without Udrih and Dunleavy again, but they got solid contributions from everyone, and actually looked like they found an identity with their lineup (despite...

Bucks-Nets Preview

Maybe a new home and look will get the Brooklyn Nets over the hump against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Nets go for their first win in this series in nearly four years as they host the Bucks on Sunday night. Milwaukee has won the past 11 meetings, with its last loss coming March 3, 2009, but those all came when the Nets were based in New Jersey. Those games also were before Brooklyn...

Skiles Comments On Spurs' "Restgate"

So far this season when an opposing team plays the San Antonio Spurs, their head coach is going to ask to comment on Gregg Popovich's decision to rest his stars. The responses from the coaching community has been siding with Pop and add Milwaukee Bucks head coach Scott Skiles. When he was discussing bench players taking advantage of extra minutes when a guy is injured, he...

Bucks Injury News: Luc Mbah a Moute, Mike Dunleavy Updates

The Milwaukee Bucks got some good news yesterday and some bad news.  They got Luc Mbah a Moute off the bench, but they lost Mike Dunleavy.  The Bucks, who have battled injuries as much as any other team in the league this season, will have a thin bench, but Mbah a Moute will be available going forward.According to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, coach...

Bucks send Nets to fourth straight defeat

NEW YORK - The game was only four minutes old Sunday night, but it looked as if the Brooklyn Nets were going to run the Milwaukee Bucks right out of the Barclays Center. The Nets, who have been struggling of late, jumped out to an 11-2 lead, doing a little bit of everything to secure that lead. It caused Bucks head coach Scott Skiles to call a timeout and address his team. ...
