Sometimes it’s better to just be quiet and not say anything. It ceases to amaze me that some athletes can say just ridiculous things at the wrong time.
Samuel Dalembert is a backup center for the Milwaukee Bucks who rarely sees the floor now that he lost his job to the improved Larry Sanders.
Dalembert will be a free agent this summer, and has this idea that he’ll have his list of suitors. Right now the Bucks are matched up against the Miami Heat in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, and were blown out yesterday in-game 1.
Before that blowout while talking to Fox Sports Florida, Dalembert felt it was wise when asked about his impending free agency, to say that he “might switch teams and join the Miami Heat.”
“The Heat will be definitely an option,’’ Dalembert told FOX Sports Florida before his Bucks lost to the Heat 110-87 in Game 1 of an Eastern Conference first-round series Sunday night at AmericanAirlines Arena. “It’s up to them and seeing what’s going to be out there. But at this point you want to be with a contending team. You don’t want to go backwards, so you want to chase that promised land.’’
The fact that Dalembert would think the Heat would have interest in him just boggles the mind. They already have Birdman Andersen, and Dalembert can’t even get minutes in the Bucks rotation.
Just be quiet some times.
BEST OF MAXIM
The NBA, where joining a winning team is better than joining a mediocre team. One cannot blame an athlete that wants to join a proven winner to win a championship [...]
MIAMI Big brother is concerned.
When Milwaukee Bucks center Samuel Dalembert heard his younger sister, Melissa Dalembert, is going to play this summer for the Miami Spice in the first-year Bikini Basketball Association, he didnt like it.
I told her, 'Dont do that,' Samuel Dalembert told FOX Sports Florida while calling the league nonsense. "But, hey shes grown up...
MIAMI Samuel Dalembert is now facing the Miami Heat. Next season, he has interest in playing for them.
The Milwaukee Bucks center becomes a free agent this summer. Dalembert, who had discussions about joining the Heat before last season, expects they again will be in the mix.
The Heat will be definitely an option, Dalembert told FOX Sports Florida before his Bucks lost to the...
Brandon Jennings and the Milwaukee Bucks are starting to feel the heat (no pun intended) after the point guard made a guarantee some would label absurd.
Prior to the 23-point mauling at the hands of the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first round match up on Sunday, Jennings, said that he saw his team disposing of the reigning champs in six games.
The Miami Heat’s LeBron James sent a clear message to Brandon Jennings on Sunday.
His mouth wrote a check his team may not be in the position to cash.
Jennings angered the Eastern Conference favorites by stating that the Bucks will bounce them out of the NBA playoffs in the first round in six games.
The end result?
A 110-87 Game 1 beat down.
Jennings did his part by chipping...
For 24 minutes on Sunday night, the Milwaukee Bucks played good basketball. But in order to beat -- or even compete with -- the Miami Heat, the Bucks are going to have to play like they did in the first half for all four quarters.
And even then, especially as efficient as the Heat were Sunday, it might not be enough to steal a game. But though in the end the Bucks were routed 110...
MIAMI If anybody has an idea, please drop it in the Milwaukee Bucks suggestion box.
With perhaps just a week left in his tenure as Bucks coach, Jim Boylan is looking for any way he can find to slow down LeBron James at least a little. After watching the Miami Heat star have a near triple-double Sunday night at AmericanAirlines Arena, all Boylan could do was throw his hands up....
Before Game 1 of their playoff series with the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Brandon Jennings gave the Heat some unnecessary bulletin-board material by predicting that his No.8 seed Bucks would win the series in six games. Dwyane Wade had a pretty priceless response to Jennings.
So many things went the way the Milwaukee Bucks wanted. LeBron James matched his playoff-low for shots in a game, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were held in relative check and the Miami Heat turned the ball over far more than usual.
And none of it really mattered.
Game 1 was a Heat blowout, as probably everyone outside of Milwaukee would have expected.
James scored 27 points on 9...
Brandon Jennings said “I can see us winning in six games” yea right bro. After Lebron and his Miami Heat smashed Jennings and his Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs, Lebron hit the podium, addressing the press in fashionable attire, as he wore a bold print $54 Staple Fallon Crewneck Sweatshirt, he layered over a classic white collar shirt. Lebron...
Dwyane Wade flies to the rim on a Mario Chalmers miss during the third quarter of Game 2 vs. the Bucks on Tuesday night and throws down a ridiculous putback dunk over Monta Ellis:
