Fox Sports Wisconsin:
Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders will miss Wednesday's game against Utah with a lower back contusion.
Sanders, the NBA's leading shot blocker, took a scary fall late in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's loss to the Nuggets while trying to draw a charge on Denver forward Kenneth Faried. After being helped to the locker room, Sanders underwent initial X-rays that showed no severe damage, but he was waiting to undergo further examination Wednesday."It's pretty painful," Sanders said following Tuesday's game. "I'll just get a couple more X-rays and take care of it so I can get back as fast as I can."
There was some fear of serious injury with how hard Sanders fell to the court, but the Bucks are calling the injury a contusion after Wednesday's tests.
"We collided in the air and I couldn't catch myself," Sanders said. "Once you're in the air like that, it's any man's game. And me jumping straight up and him coming full speed, usually you're on the losing end of that."
With Sanders out against the Jazz, veteran center Samuel Dalembert will make his 16th start of the season. Dalembert had his best offensive game of his career Tuesday, scoring a career-high 35 points on 17 of 21 shooting while also grabbing 12 rebounds.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Dalembert became the first player in NBA history to post 35 points and 12 rebounds in under 27 minutes. His 17 made field goals also tied him with LeBron James for the most in a single game this season.
After being away from the team Monday and Tuesday due to a family matter, Bucks reserve guard Marquis Daniels is back and will be available to play against the Jazz.

Samuel Dalembert dominated with Larry Sanders injured and Ersan Ilyasova in foul trouble.

Larry Sanders is a blocking and energetic animal for the Milwaukee bucks, just as Kenneth Faried is an explosive hustler for the Denver Nuggets. Tuesday evening their worlds collide. Literally. After playing sparingly for most of the season, Bucks center Samuel Dalembert has had a strong showing over the last week – most notably scoring an impressive 35 points (17-21) in 27 minutes, and pulling down 12 rebounds Tuesday night in a loss vs. the Nuggets. Now the Bucks are reportedly shopping the 10-year-veteran due to the breakout season center Larry Sanders is having, averaging...
Samuel Dalembert started in place of Larry Sanders (hip) and double-doubled with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
A day after scoring 35 points, Dalembert blocked four shots and stole four balls in 26 minutes. He's on the trade block, so his future is in question. And Larry Sanders' return from injury won't help his value.

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. -- Larry Sanders was relieved Wednesday when he received the X-rays on his back.
It was only natural for him to fear the worst after suffering a scary fall while trying to draw a charge on Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried. The X-rays showed the injury was nothing serious, but Sanders still was in a good deal of pain from the bruise on the right side of his lower back...
HOW DID HE DO IT?
It looked as if the Milwaukee Bucks would blow out the Denver Nuggets, who were up by as many as 17 points, by half-time Tuesday evening. However, Denver would lockdown on defense during the second quarter and thus, would outscore Milwaukee in the third and fourth quarters. A special highlight during the final minute of [...]The post Danilo Gallinari’s Circus Layup Vs. Milwaukee...

In a mere 27 minutes, Samuel Dalembert had 35 points on 17-21 shooting, notched 12 rebounds, dished out 2 and blocked 1. Slammy Sammy has been Silent Sammy for most of the year, with a 14/13 game on January 30 and 12/10 in January 29 being the highlights of the year. In fact, the 35 was a career high for Dalembert. With four minutes and 22 seconds to go in the first quarter of Milwaukee’s eventual loss to the Nuggets, Samuel Dalembert checked in. Seven minutes and 26 seconds later, Dalembert had 14 points. Come halftime, he had 21. On the first possession of the fourth quarter, he topped 30. At that point he’d missed just one shot, and having made 15, he was actually besting LeBron...
JaVale McGee's return from a shin injury was memorable, not for his stat line but Samuel Dalembert's. The Bucks' reserve center lit up McGee for 35 points.
McGee, who suffered a left tibia irritation about a week ago, played 18 minutes and went for eight points, five rebounds and four blocks. The blocks aren't shabby, but McGee didn't have a great night.
