Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders will miss Wednesday's game against Utah with a lower back contusion.
Sanders, the NBA's leading shot blocker, took a scary fall late in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's loss to the Nuggets while trying to draw a charge on Denver forward Kenneth Faried. After being helped to the locker room, Sanders underwent initial X-rays that showed no severe damage, but he was waiting to undergo further examination Wednesday."It's pretty painful," Sanders said following Tuesday's game. "I'll just get a couple more X-rays and take care of it so I can get back as fast as I can."
There was some fear of serious injury with how hard Sanders fell to the court, but the Bucks are calling the injury a contusion after Wednesday's tests.
