MILWAUKEE - The Bucks Thursday signed second-round draft pick Jon Leuer to a contract.
Leuer, a 6-foor-10, 228-pound forward out of the University of Wisconsin, was drafted 40th overall by the Bucks in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Due to the uncertainty of the NBA lockout, Leuer signed with Skyliners Frankfurt of the German Bundesliga, where he averaged 14.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 10 games. He also participated in three EuroCup games, averaging 12 points and 4.3 rebounds.
In four seasons at Wisconsin, Leuer finished with 11.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists and was a 48.2 percent shooter. During his senior year, he established career highs with 18.3 points and 7.2 rebounds a game and earned First Team All-Big Ten honors as Wisconsin went 25-9 and advanced to the Sweet 16.
With Leuer's signing, the Bucks now have the maximum 15 players under contract, though they are still waiting for visa issues to be settled before Luc Richard Mbah a Moute can begin participating in camp.
