Behind closed doors, Rose is participating in limited practice, going through “the dummy offense, close-out drills” and yes, “flying down the floor,” Bulls guard Jimmy Butler said. He’s also still acting as the team leader, including giving advice at halftime when he watches games in the locker room. Butler was optimistic that Rose will be back and ready to play this season.
“It’s the spirited Derrick you see more, because he’s so excited to be back out there with us,” Butler said. “To be able to put on that practice jersey and just grind it out with us. You’re seeing him smiling and you’re seeing the stuff Derrick does, the floaters, the jumpers. You’re just like, ‘Damn, he’s back.’ Right where he left off, if not even better.”

According to ESPN Chicago, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is engaging in contact at practice. A timetable for his return is not set as he continues to rehabilitate his left knee. Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said, He’s doing what we call “predictable contact”. Obviously, you’re knowing what’s coming. So he’s [...]
Stacey King dropping the quote of the night involving Luol Deng and cereal
Chicago Bulls announcer Stacey King is a trip. He is a quote machine and half the time is just as entertaining as the game itself. In tonight’s Bulls vs Cavaliers game he dropped what has to be the quote of the night. It’s not often that you can talk about Luol Deng, the Cleveland Cavaliers guards, and Post Raisin Bran in the same sentence. I give Stacey King two scoops for...
Bulls GM Shoots Down Rip Hamilton Trade Rumors
“No, no, Rip is a big part of what we’re doing,’’ Forman said when asked about the validity of all the Hamilton talk. “I think Rip’s been really good.’’
One problem with those rumors: Coach Tom Thibodeau isn’t looking to stand in the way of management’s decisions, but there’s enough of a relationship between him and the front office that the head chef is at...

Bulls show Cavaliers what a contender looks like yet again
It’s tough to imagine the pure carnage that would be the fallout of a Cavaliers-Bulls contest with a healthy Derrick Rose leading the charge. With the former MVP still rehabilitating from ACL surgery, his teammates continue to treat the Cavs as five rag dolls with which they have the fortune of toying for 48 minutes per contest.
Like a game of cat-and-mouse where the feline allows...
Cavaliers-Bulls Preview
Things didn't go as planned for the Chicago Bulls the last time they faced one of the league's worst teams at home.
After sweeping a two-game trip in Florida, the Bulls are hoping to carry over their road success Monday night when they try for their 11th straight win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While the Bulls (18-13) have the best road record in the Eastern Conference...
Bucks-Bulls Preview
The Chicago Bulls were originally slated for another reunion with former coach Scott Skiles but he's once again looking for work.
Instead, the Bulls will face former assistant Jim Boylan when they seek a season-high fourth straight win Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, who will try to build on the end to a four-game skid.
In a development that seemed all too familiar...
Cavaliers (8-27) at Bulls (8-13)
OPENING TIP
The Cavaliers just cannot beat the Bulls these days. The Cavs have lost 10 straight against their Central Division opponents, and the main reason being that over the past two years (and this one), the Bulls have been a matchup nightmare. Bulls big men Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer are two of the biggest reasons why, with those two offsetting Anderson Varejao. Those two...

Boozer finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds as Chicago pulled away in the second half. The Bulls posted their 11th straight victory over the Cavaliers, with five of the past six...
Box Score: Cavaliers 92, Bulls 118
Instant analysis: I’m sick and tired of watching the Cavaliers get blown out by the Bulls without Derrick Rose.
