Bulls Convert Two-Way Guard to Full-Time Roster
Christopher Creveling-USA TODAY Sports

Carlik Jones, who was named G League Player of the Month in February, fills the roster spot vacated by Goran Dragic.

The Chicago Bulls are finalizing a deal to convert Carlik Jones to a standard NBA contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound guard signed a two-way contract with the Bulls in December. He’s appeared in two games this season, the latest of which saw him log three rebounds, two assists, and one point in 21 minutes on Feb. 16.

His contract conversion comes on the heels of the Bulls freeing up a roster spot by waiving Goran Dragic earlier this week.

In 16 games with the Windy City Bulls, Jones is averaging 26.1 points, 7.4 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals while shooting 49.2% from the field and 36% from deep.

The 25-year-old Cincinnati native received All-G League honors last season as a member of the Texas Legends and was named G League Player of the Month in February.
