PLAYERS: Derrick Rose
TEAMS: Chicago Bulls
Derrick Rose is thinking about his long-term health.  That's something the Chicago Bulls should appreciate.  However, his long-term health may rest on the possibility that Rose sits out the entire 2012-13 season.  Doing so could drastically affect the Bulls' chances in this year's playoffs. The Bulls have positioned themselves well for a playoff run, but Rose could help put them over the top.  Despite that, though, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago says Rose continued to allude to a possible absence for the rest of this season.  The team has essentially left the decision up to him, and Rose is trusting his body and trusting doctors."Right now, I'm feeling pretty good, man," he said. "Where (I'm) slowly getting back in the mix. The other day we played the 3-on-3, one-on-one, and I felt good out there. I'm not trying to rush myself, just still trying to be patient and just trying to take my rehab very serious right now."Rose has missed the entire season so far after suffering a torn ACL last year during the playoffs.  He was expected to make a return in February despite the team never releasing a timeline for his return.  Adidas even has a marketing campaign surround #TheReturn.   Now, the Bulls may have to continue pressing on without their star and leader.  They've done a decent job of it so far. Last month I wrote about how I felt about the Bulls as contenders in the East when Derrick Rose finally returns to the line up. Early this week Rose dropped a bomb that spread throughout the media when he said he wouldn’t play until he’s 110% and that he’s isn’t close to returning. Many people [...]The post Dommermuth: Don’t Freak Out Over Recent Rose Comments appeared...

Bulls' Derrick Rose says he "still isn't right"

Derrick Rose has made comments regarding his knee injury that have ruffled a few feathers.  He said he wouldn't come back until he was 110%, and he's talked about not coming back until he's ready (indicating that there may be some pressuring him).  But the comments come with good reason behind them.  Rose, the Chicago Bulls' All-Star and MVP, simply isn't...

Derrick Rose not opposed to sitting out until next season

Ballertainment Derrick Rose could wait until next season to play When Derrick Rose said he “wouldn’t mind missing this year”, Wednesday, in Boston, it was music to my ears. NBA surprises heading into the All-Star Break

The All-Star break does not completely split the season in half. In terms of games. We are past the midpoint, but it is still a good opportunity to take a look back on what we have seen so far this year. Here are some of the more interesting storylines that have stood out to me so far this season, presented as song titles for a little extra spice. (Note: I am very surprised by...
