A recent report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports suggests that the Bulls are looking at trading their 16th and 26th picks to the New Jersey Nets for the 11th pick in this year's draft. I'm not sure if that's the best idea, since they could probably get two serviceable picks with what they have now. The 11th pick could get them a better player, but I doubt whoever they would get would end up being a significant improvement over the combined package of the 16th and 26th picks. The Bulls may have targeted a specific player that they don't want to risk missing at the 16th pick though, so I wouldn't be surprised if this deal takes place. Whether it happens or not makes little difference in the grand scheme of things, but if the Bulls saw something from someone that they felt could not be passed up, then moving up would give them a better chance of getting their man.Further down in the same article, Wojnarowski states the obvious in mentioning that the Bulls are lokking to move Jerome James and his $6 million player option so they can free up cap space to re-sign Ben Gordon. I'm all for making that happen, but I doubt that there are many (any?) teams that would want to bring James on board, and we would have to throw in something (most likely a pick) to unload him.
