We've talked about ti before, but the Chicago Bulls are the poster children for this site.  They have had more injuries than just about any other NBA team this season.  Luol Deng is another Bulls' player to add to the list of time lost due to injuries.  Last night, he sat out the Bulls game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a strained hamstring.According to Vaughn McLure of the Chicago Tribune, Deng is listed as day-to-day, but the Bulls' forward would not comment on how long he thought it would be before he returned to the court.  This is the first time injuries have kept Deng out of an entire game this season, but he has certainly dealt with his fair share of bumps and bruises. The Bulls, despite all the injuries they've dealt with, have managed to maintain a solid record in the Eastern Conference.  And with Derrick Rose slated to return in the coming weeks, the team could surge toward the playoffs.  As it stands now, the Bulls are 23-16 and in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.Deng has been a key player for Chicago in Rose's absence.  This season he has averaged 17.4 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game.  Those numbers are slightly up from his career averages of 16.1 and 6.4. Jimmy Butler starts for Luol Deng, scores 18 and grabs eight rebounds

Jimmy Butler filled in with Luol Deng-esque line at small forward Saturdy: 18 points (5-13 FG, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. Deng is day-to-day with a hamstring injury, so Butler's extended role isn't likely to last. The Bulls' second-year player can be had in just about every league (1 percent owned in Yahoo). Bulls: Taj Boozer, a great Power Forward

A superstar power forward will play an average of forty minutes per game during the regular season, forty-four minutes a game during the playoffs, and forty-eight minutes under coach Thibs.   Forty-eight minutes is exactly what Carlos Boozer and Taj Gibson give the Bulls every night.  In no world is Carlos Boozer a superstar.  His jumper seems to miss in big games and big spots...

Video: Rajon Rondo Highlights vs Chicago Bulls

ESPN Boxscore Here are highlights from Rondo's performance during the game yesterday against the Chicago Bulls. Rondo dropped 30 points on 12-21 shooting, along with making 6-9 free throws. His efforts were unfortunately put to waste when the team lost in OT, 100-99. This was Rondo's season-high. Video Courtesy of OfficialCeltics How impressive was Rondo's game yesterday...

Grizzlies-Bulls Preview

The Memphis Grizzlies got the best of the Chicago Bulls in a low-scoring affair last month. Points could be even harder to come by this time around if Zach Randolph and Luol Deng can't play. Memphis' Randolph and Chicago's Deng are both uncertain to be available Saturday night in what sets up as a defensive battle at the United Center. Randolph had 10 points and 15...

Joakim Noah whines about Kevin Garnett, again

After the game last night Joakim Noah (son of French professional tennis player Yannick Noah) was asked about playing defense against Kevin Garnett. Here's what Noah had to say: (I was) just playing defense. Just playing sound defense, just contesting his shots. He's a helluva competitor. He's always on some bulls---. Always on some bulls---. Just trying to throw elbows...

Joakim Noah Talks Up Kevin Garnett’s ‘Cheap Shots’ After Beating Celtics

On Friday night, after the Bulls beat the Celtics 100-99 in overtime, Joakim Noah said he didn’t want to talk too much, and especially not about Kevin Garnett, with whom Noah tangled again on Friday night and about whom Noah has had some pointed words in the past. So on Friday, Noah did not go as far as to say that Garnett was a dirty player, as he has alleged before. Instead,...

Underrated Stat of the Night - Bulls 1/18

The Celtics have lost. This one really sucked. We had a lead with a few seconds left in both the fourth and in OT, yet we couldn't catch a break. Rondo played amazing: putting in 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists. Unfortunately, he fouled out mid-way through overtime. This one stings and I just want to move on, but I won't. Tonight's underrated stat of the night...

Belinelli's shot lifts Bulls in OT

BOSTON -- Marco Belinelli quickly went from goat to hero in the closing seconds of overtime Friday night, giving the Chicago Bulls their second road OT win in a span of three nights. Belinelli, guilty of too much dribbling and a wild shot off the top of the backboard with his team ahead by a point, hit an off-balance 14-footer with 3.1 seconds left to give Chicago a 100-99 victory...

Grizzlies fight back to defeat Bulls in overtime

CHICAGO -- After squandering a 17-point lead, Memphis knew it was time to go inside to salvage a win on the road. Marc Gasol scored 19 points, teammate Zach Randolph grabbed 19 rebounds and the Grizzlies low-post tandem helped lead them to an 85-82 overtime victory over Chicago at the United Center. Randolph and Gasol started the overtime with one putback basket each and the...
