Byron Scott in Akron

In perhaps a last gasp effort to sway LeBron James, new Cavs coach Byron Scott arrived at Akron’s Rhodes Arena around 1:30 today. The arena was closed to reporters when Scott showed up. Inside, a few of his players were scrimmaging … along with key free agent James. It could be read one of two ways: Either James simply invited him down to watch, since Jamario Moon, Christian Eyenga and Danny Green were playing inside; or the Cavaliers feel like they’re losing James and are putting on a last-ditch effort to sway him before his 9 p.m. television show tomorrow night. I’ll go with the latter.
