Jose Calderon made his much anticipated debut with the Pistons Monday night racking up 15 points and 3 assists while taking much needed control of the Detroit offensive attack.
However the Pistons were not match for New York’s perimeter game as the Knicks went on to beat Detroit 99-85 from Madison Square Garden. In fact the Pistons didn’t even sniff a lead in this one as New York led from start to finish going 36/79 from the field (.456 percent) and 14/34 from beyond the arc (.412 percent).
Greg Monroe had 13 points to go along with his 10 board while Will Bynum also had 13 points off the bench. Rodney Stuckey had 14 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.
More Calderon: “We’ll be OK. I liked what I saw. I just gotta be able to deliver the ball to them and do a better job of that.”

Here’s @josemcalderon8 after his debut: “I tried to do the best I could. I was thinking too much, trying to figure out all my teammates.”
