This is the third time Carmelo Anthony has had to miss time this season.  Friday's night's matchup against the Sacramento Kings marked the second-straight game the New York Knicks superstar had to miss.  He is battling a hyper-extended left knee.According to Nate Taylor of the New York Times, Anthony appeared to be walking better than he had been in the previous two days since he suffered the injury.  Anthony injured his knee on Christmas Day.  Taylor says Anthony hopes to play Tuesday.Anthony has missed two games at a time with each of his injuries.  He suffered a sprained ankle, and lacerated finger, and now a hyper-extended knee.  Anthony has been the heart and soul of this Knicks team.  He drives them to the success they've had.  With all the other injuries the team has battled and is battling, Anthony and the Knicks can't afford any more down time.Anthony is averaging 28.5 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game.  In his career, Anthony has averaged 24.8 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game.  He is hoping to lead the suddenly meaningful Knicks to a deep run through the playoffs.
