Winter is coming … isn’t it, Carmelo Anthony? Forget March Madness, if there’s one thing I have been eagerly anticipating more than just about anything, it’s the return of the brilliant and epic HBO series, “Game of Thrones,” for its third season. And while a television series or film should never be expected to improve upon the original source material, “Thrones” has proven to be a masterful re-creation of George R. R. Martin’s masterpiece, “A Song of Ice and Fire.” While it is unknown for certain whether or not he is a huge fan of either the brilliant books or remarkable television series, New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony currently is starring in a promo where he touts the triumphant return of “Game of Thrones” on March 31 as he alternates sitting upon the Iron Throne and dribbling a basketball. Because what he’s saying translates for both “Game of Thrones” and the hardwood, I guess. Oh, man, I can’t hardly wait for March 31. Woot!
